On June 6, a civilian identified as Soibam Saratkumar Singh (59) was suspectedly beheaded by armed miscreants in Jiribam District of Manipur, reports The Sangai Express and India TodayNE. It is reported that Saratkumar was abducted from Khasia Punji while he was returning from his farm at Leishabithol. He was found dead at a hill near Mulargoan by Jiribam Police and other security forces (SFs) during a search operation.
Police exchanged fire with cadres of the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) near Gyarewada village in Gadchiroli District of Maharashtra on June 5 and subsequently recovered a cache of explosives, reports ndtv.com. Lakhma Ram has been charged under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act, 1984, the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA), and the Chhattisgarh Special Public Security Act, 2005. Lakhma was one of the 35 accused against whom the NIA registered the case on February 29, 2024.

The NIA, had taken over the investigation in the case (RC-08/2024/NIA/RPR) in February, 2024.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on June 6, arrested a key accused identified as Thongminthang Haokip alias Thangboi Haokip alias Roger, who is a cadre of Kuki National Front-Military Council (KNF-MC), from Imphal Airport in Imphal West District of Manipur, in a case relating to a transnational conspiracy by insurgents and terrorist gangs to exacerbate the Manipur violence and spread terror in the north-eastern states, reports NIA on X. NIA investigations revealed that Roger was actively involved in attacks on Security Forces (SFs) at multiple locations during the insurgency and violence. He was also in contact with Kuki National Front-Burma (KNF-B) in Myanmar, seeking logistics support to escalate the volatile situation in Manipur and create terror. NIA investigations further revealed that Roger had meetings with leaders of People’s Defense Force (PDF)/KNF-Burma (KNF-B) of Myanmar to procure arms, ammunition, and explosives for use in the ongoing violence in Manipur.
On June 6, National Investigation Agency (NIA) searched nine locations in Punjab, at the premises of Canada-based Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) terrorist and gangster Goldy Brar, in an extortion and firing case of January 2024 in Chandigarh, reports the NIA. The locations include Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar (Mohali), Patiala, Hoshiarpur, and Fateh Garh Sahib Districts of Punjab. During the search, NIA recovered incriminating material, including digital devices. The investigation reveals that the accused in this case are involved in providing arms and ammunition to members of terrorist gangs formed by Brar, as well as in the smuggling and sale of narcotics, and are continuously recruiting vulnerable youth into their gangs. Earlier, the local Police originally registered this case on January 20, 2024.

As per the CTD statement, Muhammad Omar was involved in multiple attacks on Security Forces and police personnel including the CTD in the District.
Security Forces (SFs) reportedly enforced disappearance of a Baloch man after the arrest from Wadh tehsil (revenue unit) of Khuzdar District in Balochistan on June 5, reports The Balochistan Post. SF suspectedly forcibly detained Nazeer Ahmed son of Master Muhammad Deen from Wadh. His whereabouts remain unknown since.
