Taliban leadership lacks a fair perspective and that "power is monopolised by a specific circle," he added.

He stated that it is anticipated the discussions at the Doha meeting will focus on the "removal of unilateral and illegal sanctions.”

Blinken highlighted the Taliban's failure to protect religious minorities in Afghanistan, violent attacks, forced displacement, and declining populations of Sikhs, Hindus, and Shia.
On June 27, a Rohingya man, identified as Mohammad Salek was attacked with sharp weapons in different parts of his body, at a refugee camp in Ukhiya Upazila (Sub-District) of Cox’s Bazar District of Chittagong Division, reports bdnews24.com. Locals rescued Mohammad Salek and took him to the Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) Hospital in Kutupalong, where he was advised to be transferred to the District Sadar Hospital in Cox's Bazar due to his critical condition, but he died on the way.

RAB recovered ten extremist books, 29 leaflets, one diary, two madrasa identity cards, two national identification cards (NIDs), two mobile phones, and BDT 4,590 from their possession.
The Police arrested two People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI) cadres, the newly appointed ‘area commander’ of the outfit, identified as Andreas Kandulna alias Toofan, along with his associate Nimus Kandir alias Masterji, from Gadhsidam Forest area under Rania Police Station limits in Khunti District of Jharkhand on June 28, reports prabhatkhabar.com. The Police recovered a country-made pistol, cartridges, mobile, motorcycle, and PLFI pamphlets from them. Criminal cases are registered against Andreas Kandulna in Bandgaon and Tebo Police Stations of West Singhbhum District. These include the Arms Act as well. PLFI is a splinter group of the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist).
The Special Task Force (STF) of West Bengal Police arrested Anwar Sheikh in Chennai, Tamil Nadu on June 28 for his suspected connections to Bangladesh-based terror outfit Shahadat-e Al Hiqma, reports The Print. His arrest follows the interrogation of five other individuals who were detained in the same group. Earlier, SATP reported five were arrested in West Bengal on June 22. Preliminary investigations indicate the group's involvement in recruiting youths for the terror outfit.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted extensive raids in Gujarat and Maharashtra related to the 2021 Visakhapatnam Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) espionage case and recovered incriminating materials, including mobile phones and documents on June 28, reports India Today. The suspects suspectedly received money from Pakistan to spy on Indian defense establishments. The NIA took over the case in June, 2023 and on July 19, 2023, it filed a chargesheet against two accused, including an absconding Pakistani national.

"Half a dozen places in the troubled region were extensively searched, and several mobile phones, a printer, and cash amounting to Rs 39,100 were seized along with incriminating documents," a statement issued by the NIA said. The NIA is continuing with its investigation in the case, registered initially by the local Police on February 5 this year and taken over by the NIA on February 22.
The annual meeting of the Unified Command, held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai in Raipur District of Chhattisgarh on June 28, laid emphasis on interstate coordination and infrastructure development in the Left Wing Extremism (LWE)-hit areas in the state to combat Naxalism, reports Deccan Chronicle. Meghalaya Chief Minister (CM) Conrad Sangma said the Meghalaya government has ruled out giving blanket amnesty to Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council (HNLC) and stated that while minor issues can be resolved, it is not feasible to offer blanket amnesty to HNLC, Northeast Now reports on June 29. Sangma stated that the Meghalaya government is in ongoing discussions with the central government regarding HNLC’s demands. He said, “We are in communication with the Government of India, making it clear how far we can go. This has been conveyed multiple times to the HNLC through both the central and state governments. We are adhering to the established protocols and procedures used in such talks.” However, Sangma noted that any amnesty would have to follow specific guidelines, particularly concerning heinous crimes committed in the past. “We cannot offer blanket amnesty; each case must be examined individually,” he added.
A well-reputed philanthropist and member of the District Reconciliation Committee (DRC), Rahat Khan was shot dead by unknown assailants in Kalu Khan tehsil (revenue unit) of Swabi District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on June 28, reports Urdu Point. Seven persons were injured when some unidentified motorcyclists lobbed a hand grenade at a vehicle carrying the personnel of Frontier Corps (FC) on Brewery Road in Killi Ibrahimzai area of Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan, in the evening of June 27, reports Dawn.
