The District Police has arrested five cadres of the People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI), a splinter group of the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist), identified as Boyar Singh Purti, Samu Munda, Gopal, Kanu Hembram and Mikhail Hapadgada, in Khunti District of Jharkhand on August 7, reports prabhatkhabar.com. The Police have also recovered nine bullets, a desi katta and other items of daily use from the arrested cadres. The arrested cadres were collecting ‘levy’ (extortion money) in Murhu Police Station area. Khunti Superintendent of Police (SP) said that PLFI's ‘area commander’ Tira Bodra alias Lambu had come to Murhu Police Station area with his colleagues to collect ‘levy’. Tira Bodra escaped while the five cadres were arrested.
