At least eight Special Service Group (SSG) commandos were killed when Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) cadres foiled an Army aggression in Bolan District of Balochistan on November 1, reports Radio Zrumbesh. While claiming responsibility, BLA ‘spokesperson’ Jeeyand Baloch said that the freedom fighters of Baloch Liberation Army foiled aggression of Pakistani occupying forces in Bolan. In multiple intense counteractions by BLA fighters, at least eight Pakistani SSG commandos were eliminated. A detailed statement will be released later.

A truck supplying goods to the Frontier Work Organization (FWO), a construction company of the Pakistan Army, was set on fire including equipment at Chukap in Mand area of Kech District in Balochistan by Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) cadres on November 4, reports Radio Zrumbesh. BLF claimed responsibility for the attack. "The driver and conductor once again warned and left based on being Baloch, the truck was loaded with rations for the crew along with the barbed wire. Some receipts of Pakistani army have also been recovered from inside the vehicle", BLF ‘spokesperson’ Major Gwahram Baloch said. Major Gwahram Baloch said that he had already appealed to the transporters to desist from state support, but still some vehicle owners are supporting the enemy for their gain. They should be aware that otherwise they will be treated as enemies. "We appeal to the drivers who are involved in the Baloch Genocide, should refuse their bosses to help them with such activities", Major Gwahram Baloch added.

According to reports, the military operation continues in the mountainous region of Bolan and environ for the 8th consecutive day by SFs. The operation started after the ultimatum given by the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) to the Army for the prisoner swap negotiations till November 4. A tribal elder was killed and five others, including a Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader, were injured on November 8 after their vehicle was targeted with a remote-control bomb near Chamrok Chowk in Khuzdar town (Khuzdar District) of Balochistan, reports Dawn. Police said the bomb exploded when PPP leader Abdul Latif Shahwani was travelling with tribal elder Abdul Ghani Bangulzai, who later died of his wounds in a Karachi hospital. Both were close associates of Nawab Sanaullah Zehri, former Chief Minister also associated with the PPP. PPP’s Abdul Latif Shahwani among five wounded in remote-control explosion.

The camp was targeted from two different directions with rocket propelled grenades and other heavy weapons. Two Army posts were completely destroyed in the attack. A Frontier Corps (FC) soldier was killed and two more sustained injuries November 13 in the midst of a cross-border attack from Security Forces (SFs) of Afghanistan on the Pakistani side of the Bab-e-Dosti gate in Chaman town of Kila Abdullah District in Balochistan, reports Geo TV. Afghan SFs allegedly opened fire on the FC personnel while they were deployed on duty on the Pakistani side, as per Levies officials. According to the Human Rights Council of Balochistan (HRCB), there were forty-one cases of enforced disappearance and thirty cases of extrajudicial executions in Balochistan during the month of October 2022, The Balochistan Post reported on November 15. Victims of enforced disappearance include fourteen students. Later, five abductees were released, four were framed in bogus cases and one of the abductees was extra judicially killed in a fake encounter by the Police Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) whereas, the whereabouts of thirty people remained unknown at the time of writing this report. In addition, twenty-one victims of enforced disappearance were also released in the month. Four victims were abducted a year ago while the rest of the released persons were abducted by forces months before. All the released persons were subjected to inhuman torture during their incommunicado detention and were released without any explanation.

BLA ‘spokesman’ Azad Baloch claim the responsibility for the attack. Sheikh Salim Tagapi is the main leader of the ‘death squad’ in Haji Ibrahim Chingizi town. Three other ‘death squad’ members were identified as Abdul Raziq, Saif Islam and Sanaullah, while one member of ‘death squad’ named Dilshad was seriously injured. During the attack, the remaining members of the ‘death squad’ fled the hideout place. Azad Baloch said Sheikh Salim Tagapi was working as the right-hand man of the Shafiq Mengal for more than a decade. At the behest of the Army in several areas of Balochistan including Quetta, Kharan, and Khuzdar, he used to work as a commander in several genocidal activities including the forced disappearance of Baloch youth, target killing, inhumane torture during imprisonment, in addition to theft, robbery, kidnapping for ransom and some anti-social activities. An armed group known as the Baloch Nationalist Army (BNA) revealed, on November 22, that its top ‘commander’ Gulzar Imam alias Shambay is in the custody of Pakistan’s secret services, reports The Balochistan Post. According to a press release by the “pro-independence” armed group, BNA that its top leader Gulzar Imam went missing and is now in the custody of Pakistani intelligence agencies. As per Mureed Baloch, the spokesperson for BNA that their top commander “went missing some time ago”. Mureed didn’t reveal further information that how and where the insurgent commander went missing, and only said that “he had gone missing some time ago, the organization investigated the issue and found out through credible evidence that Gulzar Imam alias Shambay is under the custody of Pakistani secretive agencies.” He further added, “the organization is conducting its investigations and it will reach the culprits involved”. Imam founded the BNA earlier this year by merging his faction of the Baloch Republican Army (BRA) with the United Baloch Army (UBA) in order to expand the independence movement of Balochistan by uniting the Baloch armed groups against the Pakistan army.

Security Forces (SFs) killed 10 terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Hoshab area of Kech District in Balochistan on November 29, reports Dawn. According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the IBO was conducted to clear a hideout of terrorists linked to firing incidents targeting security forces and civilians, along with planting improvised explosive devices on the Gwadar-Hoshab (M-8) road. “As security forces were in the process of establishing blocking positions after identification of 12-14 terrorists’ location, terrorists opened fire onto the security forces. “During the ensuing heavy exchange of fire, 10 terrorists have been killed while one terrorist has been apprehended in injured condition. Two terrorists managed to escape,” the ISPR statement added. A cache of arms and ammunition, including IEDs, were also recovered.

The death toll in November 30 suicide attack targeting a Police truck in Baleli area of Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan, climbed up to four as two more persons, including a child succumbed to injuries, reports Pakistan Today. Initially, it was reported that a Policeman and a child was killed, while 24 others including 20 Policemen were injured. Ghulam Azfar Mahesar, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Quetta Police, said the attack happened when the Policemen were heading to the Polio workers, part of a nationwide vaccination drive launched November 28. The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in a statement claimed responsibility. In a statement, the outfit said the attack in Balochistan targeted Police to avenge the killing of their former spokesperson, Abdul Wali. He was widely known as Omar Khalid Khurasani and was killed in a bombing in Afghanistan’s Paktika province in August. His death was a heavy blow to the outfit.
