At least one person was injured after a blast hit the customs intelligence office located at Airport Road of Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan, on April 1, reports Geo TV. A security guard posted at the office said that three unidentified armed persons had entered the office and held the staff hostage. He added that the persons had tied the hands of the staff and issued "grave threats to them". The guard said that the explosion took place as soon as the unidentified persons left the office. So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

BLF ‘spokesman’ Major Gwahram Baloch claimed responsibility for the attack. The spokesman said that the mobile phone tower and its machinery were completely burnt to ashes. “We warn all the mobile service companies to keep their services away from the population otherwise they will be responsible for the loss of their resources”, Major Gwahram Baloch said.

Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) cadres on May 4 set on fire the mobile phone tower of Ufone company at Gebon in Bani Daak area of Kech District of Balochistan, reports Radio Zrumbesh. BLF ‘spokesman’ Major Gwahram Baloch claimed responsibility for the attack. The spokesman said that the Army and its intelligence agencies were installing mobile towers every five to ten kilometres in mountainous areas away from settlements for easy tracing of Baloch freedom fighters and their associates to pave the way for military aggression.

One Baloch person, identified as Shah Beg Dad, son of Wali Dad, disappeared after being forcibly arrested by SFs from a passenger bus at Vazhbod FC check post in Panjgur District on May 5, reports Radio Zrumbesh. SFs entered the bus and tortured Shah Beg, who is said to be a resident of Shapuk Kech. He was taken away from the bus while other passengers got off the bus and suspended the flow of traffic on the Makuran-Quetta highway in protest - causing long queues of passenger buses and other vehicles on both sides of the highway.

Baloch Republican Guard (BRG) cadres blow up transmission towers at Mir Hassan area of Dera Murad Jamali in Nasirabad District in the night of May 8, reports Radio Zrumbesh. BRG ‘spokesman’ Dostin Baloch claim the responsibility for the attack, said in a statement to the media that their cadres blew up the electricity poles going to Punjab from the Ochh Power Plant of Dera Murad Jamali. He said that after the blast, one tower collapsed while another tower was severely affected after which power from the Ochh power plant to Punjab was suspended.

Two persons were injured in a roadside bomb blast triggered by a remote control at Shekhari Cross in Uzbuki area of Mangochar in Kalat District in Balochistan on May 8, reports Dawn. Two tribal elders, who are apparently the target of the attack, survived the bomb blast. However, the blast left two people injured and damaged some vehicles in the convoy. Officials of the Levies Force said Sardar Ahmed Khan Bangulzai and Sardar Allahyar Khan Bodozai were going to Johan area from Quetta along with other people to attend a meeting convened to discuss local bodies elections.

Saeed was the younger brother of BNP-M’s central labour secretary Musa Baloch. Saeed was passing through the Qambrani area when armed assailants opened fire on him. A Balochistan based Human rights group, Human Rights Council of Balochistan (HRCB) has released its yearly report in which it pointed out the dire human rights situation of Balochistan in 2021, The Balochistan Post reported on May 12. According to the report, the year 2021 witnessed a drastic change in human rights situation in Balochistan. HRCB, in comparison to previous years, recorded an increase in fake encounters committed by Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) killing 47, while there was a rise in cases of enforced disappearances, extra judicial killings, target killings, torture, collective punishment, killing of women for honor. Students remained the main target of military and its shadow organizations, both in Balochistan as well as in other provinces of Pakistan. A large number of Balochistan’s students were forcibly disappeared in 2021. HRCB received reports of enforced disappearance of 442 people, out of whom 170 were later tortured and released while whereabouts of 272 people remained unknown at the time of writing this report. A total of 366 people were killed.

Jeehand Baloch said Ali Mohammad Ghulamani had been involved in anti-national activities in and around Khuzdar city for a long time by forming a death squad under the auspices of the occupying Pakistan army and intelligence agencies. The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on May 16 arrested a female suicide bomber of Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), identified as Noor Jehan along with her accomplice, who wanted to target a Chinese convoy on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) route, during a raid in Hoshab area of Kech District in Balochistan, reports ARY News. During the raid explosives, and detonators were also recovered. The CTD had said the woman belonged to the same group that carried out the attack on Karachi University. While addressing a press conference, the spokesperson of the Balochistan Government Farah Azeem Shah said that the CTD Makran Range had conducted a raid in Hoshab in which a suspected woman Noor Jehan was arrested along with her accomplice. “Her accomplice is a member of the outlawed BLA Majeed Brigade from which a suicide jacket, six hand grenades and explosive material were also recovered.”

BLF ‘spokesman’ Major Gwahram Baloch claimed responsibility for the attack. Major Gwahram Baloch said in a statement that the cadres of their outfit shot dead Noor Ahmad Bangulzae. Ahmad Bangulzae was a supporter of state forces in the killing of sympathizers of the Baloch National movement and enforced disappearances of innocent people, including those associated with the movement. Major Gwahram Baloch said that Noor Ahmad Bangulzai was an important accomplice of Siraj Raisani, the former head of state death squad, in the Baloch genocidal mission, after whose death he was given all the responsibilities on the political scene and presented as the leader of Balochistan Awami Party (BAP).
