The PWG has reportedly threatened State Sports Minister, P Ramulu, to quit the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) or else face serious consequences. According to media reports, Ramulu received threat letters and phone calls from the PWG asking him to quit his ministerial position and the party. The warning letters to the Minister comes in the wake of mass resignations by the ruling party leaders from Achampet and Kollapur during the past two months following PWG threats. A similar warning has reportedly been issued to the Mahboobnagar district TDP president, T Manohar, who shifted his family to Hyderabad and restricted his movements in the Naxalite-affected areas.
