According to The Hindu, the left-wing extremist People's War Group (PWG) while ruling out the possibility of holding talks with the Andhra Pradesh Government also rejected Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's call to lay down arms and join the mainstream. In an interview to a group of journalists in the Nallamala forests two days ago, Naveen, secretary of the Nalgonda district unit of the PWG, accused the State Government of being insincere in holding talks despite mounting pressure from the intelligentsia and political parties. He said that the Government was not interested in holding talks because it was not prepared to discuss the people's issues which the PWG would bring into focus.
