A leader of Islami Chhatra Shibir (ICS), the student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI) was killed after being hit by a speeding truck while fleeing Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) custody in Chapainawabganj District on January 27, reports The Daily Star. The victim, Asadullah Tuhin (20), was an HSC student at Chapainawabganj City College and president of the college unit ICS. RAB officials claimed that Tuhin was involved in subversive activities and used to bring crude bombs from Ramchandrapur in Chapainawabganj for supplying those to ICS cadres to create anarchy.
