Mohamed Ibrahim Saheeda (24) was arrested by the Terrorism Investigation Division (TID) at Hingula in Mawanella town of Kegalle District in the Sabaragamuwa Province on February 19 for attending extremist classes run by Saharan Hashim in 2018, reports Colombo Page. During the interrogation by the TID the woman revealed that she and 14 other women had participated in the extremist lectures. Five of the women have later died in a suicide bomb blast in the Saindamarudu area and three other women have been remanded in custody. Seven women are currently in the custody of the TID on detention orders.
