On May 12, a National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Isak-Muivah (NSCN-IM) militant was arrested near Longphong village in Longding District, reports Arunachal 24. The arrestee was identified as ‘sergeant major’ Puman Wangsu. He was wanted for the involvement in killing of Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Tirong Aboh and 10 others in May 21, 2019.
Separately, on same day a NSCN-Khango Konyak (NSCN-KK) militant was arrested from Sankha Havi in Changlang District of Arunachal Pradesh, reports Arunachal 24. The arrestee was identified as ‘corporal’ Tonlang Pangtha. A pistol, nine rounds of ammunition and a magazine was recovered from the arrestee.
