Two underground cadres of the Communist Party of India-Marxist-Leninist-New Democracy (CPI-ML-New Democracy) identified as – Soma Bhaskar alias Suryam and Burka Prathap alias Shyam, surrendered before the Commissioner of Police (CP) V. Ravinder in Warangal District of Telangana on May 14, reports The Times of India. As per the report, Bhaskar, a resident of Timmapet village in Warangal Rural District was acting as the ‘party state committee member’ and ‘Mahabubabad divisional secretary’, while Prathap, a resident of Gunjedu village in Mahabubabad District was acting as ‘Mahabubabad district committee member’ for the organization.
