On November 19, a self-styled ‘second lieutenant’, Prantik Asom, of United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I) was arrested at Pengeree of Tinsukia District in Assam, reports Northeast Now. The arrested militant was the chief of the logistics and administration of the ULFA-I camps in Myanmar and close aide of Arunodhoy Asom, a top-level leader of ULFA-I. One .32 pistol, one magazine and 9 live rounds of ammunition was recovered from the arrestee.
