On December 28, three terrorists were killed in an encounter between Security Forces (SFs) and terrorists on National Highway-44 (NH-44) near Sidhra Bridge in Jammu District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), reports Daily Excelsior. The incident occurred when the J&K Police stopped the truck for inspection in which the terrorists were travelling, and the truck driver escaped. The Police and security personnel then began searching the vehicle,prompting the militants hiding inside to open fire, which led to retaliatory firing by the search parties, the Police said. The identities of the slain militants are being ascertained.
