On January 10, Hasht-e Subh reported that the Taliban Ministry of Vice and Virtue agents warned land owners and dealers to refrain from issuing rent premises to women’s hairdressing salons in Baghlan Province. Taliban’s supporters in Baghlan Province called the existence of women’s hair salons seditious and against Sharia principles. Taliban have already closed women’s hair salons in Kunduz, Takhar and Badakhshan Provinces.
