The personnel of the 29th Battalion of Border Security Force (BSF) and Counter Intelligence wing of the Punjab Police on May 14, recovered 7.7 kilograms of heroin worth INR 390 million during a joint search operation carried out near border outpost D.T. Mall along the Indo-Pakistan border in Ferozepur sector of Ferozepur District.
Earlier, on March 31, the personnel of Crime Investigation Agency (CIA), Moga, and the BSF recovered 4.2 kilograms heroin worth INR 220 million. On the same day, the BSF had seized three packets of heroin in the Abohar sector and another 1.48 kilograms heroin from Behram Shersingh Wala village in Guruharsahai in Ferozepur District.
