A bomb has exploded on the eve of local elections at Milanchowk in Butwal in the Rupandehi District in Province No. 5 of Nepal on May 11, reports My Republica. According to the Area Police Office in Butwal, a pressure cooker bomb exploded in front of the Sunrise Bank in Milanchowk. No one has yet claimed responsibility for the blast. However, a pamphlet with the name Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist Centre (CPN-Maoist Center) was found on the spot and the pamphlet asked all to boycott the local elections.
