On October 15, National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Reformation (NSCN-R) and Government of India (GoI) signed a six-month ceasefire extension at the Cease Fire Supervisory Group (CFSB)/ Cease Fire Monitoring Group (CFMG) office in Kohima of Kohima District in Nagaland, reports Morung Express. A press release from the NSCN-R stated that both the signatory parties agreed in principle to continue to uphold the sanctity of the laid down Ceasefire Ground Rules and to keep check on any lapses that may arise from either side.
