Chairpersons of the Dahal-Nepal faction of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP), Pushpa Kamal Dahal, and Madhav Kumar Nepal held a meeting at Parisdanda, party headquarters, with the leaders of the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) to explore the possibility of a power-sharing deal as the KP Sharma Oli-led Government is under immense pressure to step down following the Supreme Court's decision to reinstate the House of Representatives (HoR), reports My Republica on February 25 (today). The meeting which took place at Parisdanda, party headquarters of the Dahal-Nepal faction, from 9:30AM to 10:30AM on Thursday (February 25) morning, revolved around the possibility of a power sharing deal in the evolving political situation after the apex court overturned the Government's decision to dissolve the HoR, Rajendra Mahato, a key leader of the JSP, said. During the meeting, Dahal urged the JSP leaders to form an alliance to install a new coalition Government. The JSP leaders suggested to Dahal to bring on board the main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) first to form the alliance and set up a new Government. Chairperson Dahal also told the JSP leaders that they will file a vote of no-confidence against Prime Minister Oli once the session of the HoR begins as per the apex court's verdict.
