On February 27, a video displaying the burning of the Indian National Flag (Tricolour) gone viral with the claimed that the act was carried out in the state capital Shillong in East Khasi Hills of Meghalaya, reports The Telegraph. However, specific location of the incident could not be ascertained, there were also papers placed on the ground with writing demanding the implementation of the ILP, with the words, “Hynñiewtrep Army”. The report says that some are claiming that the act was done to oppose the Centre’s “highhandedness” and demand the implementation of the inner-line permit (ILP) in Meghalaya.
