The Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadres on September 15 blocked the Dubbaguda-Malampodur road at Bhamragadh Taluka (revenue sub-division) in Gadchiroli District of Maharashtra and put up banners and pamphlets asking people to observe the ‘foundation week’ (September 21 to 27) of their ‘movement’, reports Outlook. The Maoist Communist Centre (MCC) and People’s War Group (PWG) merged to form CPI-Maoist on September 21, 2004, and since then it has been observing the ‘foundation week’ every year during this period, said an unnamed police official.
