The Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadres put up posters and banners at several places of Chaibasa town in West Singhbhum District of Jharkhand on the intervening night of September 15 and 16, demanding the withdrawal of the ‘Saranda Action Plan’ – a rural livelihood development plan for Saranda region in the District, reports The Telegraph. The posters and banners, written in Hindi script, also call upon the young people to join the organization in large numbers to work for the ‘upliftment’ of tribals and fight against the administration. A team of Police officials recovered the banners and posters and initiated an investigation.
