Ahead of West Bengal Assembly elections, handwritten posters bearing the name of Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) have surfaced at three villages in Ajodhya hills, Kotshila and Balrampur in Purulia District of West Bengal on February 22, reports India Today. In its handwritten leaflets written in red ink on white paper, the Maoists listed a series of demands, including to reduce the petrol and diesel prices, withdrawal of the three controversial farm laws introduced by the central government, adequate ration, and putting a halt to the caste-related violence as well as Police atrocities.
