Asserting that the situation in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) has improved a lot during the past three to four years, the Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh said on September 12 that people have appreciated the working of Police and other forces and there exists a mutual respect between the two, reports Kashmir Observer. Addressing the locals of the area after laying foundation stone of multi storeyed buildings at Bhagwanpora, Sangam in Srinagar, DGP Dilbag Singh said, directed the jurisdictional officers to take necessary steps to solve the grievances of the people on priority. The DGP said that the J&K Police is also expecting and getting full support and cooperation from people in maintaining peace and order. “To secure the bright future of our youth, Police and people have to work together. Past which has given pain has to be left behind so as to provide a peaceful environment to our coming generations,” the DGP said.
