The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) on November 22 set November 24 for delivering the verdict in the war crimes case against absconding former Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Member of Parlament (MP) Abdul Momin Talukder, reports New Age. Momin, who became a lawmaker from Bogura’s Adamdighi area in 2001 and 2008 national elections with BNP ticket, faced three charges in absentia. He was a Muslim League (ML) activist during the Liberation War in 1971, according to the prosecution. He faced the three charges for his alleged involvement in murdering 19 people and committing genocide and arson attacks in Bogura.
