Security Forces (SFs) have announced the start of a new counter-terrorism operation in Helmand Province on October 31, reports bakhtarnews.com. The operation was launched with the participation of hundreds of troops and support of the country's Air Force in Nad Ali District and the outskirts of Lashkargah, the provincial capital. The object of the operation is to clear Nad Ali and Chah-e-Anjer in the outskirts of Lashkargah from the Taliban. Helmand Police Chief, General Khalil-ur-Rehman Javad told that they were trying to oust the Taliban from Nad Ali and the central Helmand camp, but in a recent operation, the security troops were able to remove the Lashkargah-Kandahar highway from the Taliban administration and retake the lost parts of Nawa District and Lashkargah city from the group.
