Security Forces (SFs) arrested four cadres of Tritiya Prastuti Committee (TPC), a splinter group of the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) identified as ‘area commander’ Jagranath Ganju alias Budha alias Azad, a resident of Gendra in Kunda, Dilip Kumar Singh of Uttarathi in Tandwa, Ashok Ganju of Hazaribagh and Pandu Ganju of Lavalong under Tandwa Police Station limits in Chatra District of Jharkhand on May 7, reports Prabhat Khabar. Police recovered two INSAS (Indian Small Arms System) assault rifles, a desi pistol, a desi katta, 178 rounds of bullets, 27 bullets of 315 mm, four bullets of 9 mm, a wireless set, six thousand rupees in cash and a 22-page receipt. All of them were meeting on the Gonda hill in Tandwa to carry out an incident and were trying to flee, after seeing the SFs.The arrested TPC cadres admitted of their involvement in arson activities on April 13 and April 26 under Tandwa Police Station limits. Several cases of arms act, arson, and sabotage have been registered against these TPC militants at Tandwa, Piparwar, Keredari, Lavalong and Simaria Police Stations, said press release issued by Chatra Superintendent of Police (SP) Rishabh Kumar Jha.
Separately, Six Jharkhand Prastuti Committee (JPC) cadres attacked a house of Tapin South Local Cell President Ramkishore Murmu in Fusari Village under Charhi Police Station area of Hazaribagh District of Jharkhand on May 5, reports Prabhat Khabar. A clash broke out between armed JPC militants and villagers for 30 minutes. During this clash, the villagers have arrested JPC cadre identified as Dinesh Kumar. The Police recovered a log, a PG gun, a 7.6 mm pistol, a desi rifle and two bullets from the arrested JPC militant. The other five JPC cadres managed to escape before the Police reached the location.
