The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on December 7 arrested a Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorist during a raid at old Sabzi Mandi area of Karachi, the provincial capital of Sindh, reports ARY News. The arrested terrorist, identified as Izzat Mand, was the leader of the TTP chapter of Matta tehsil (revenue unit) in Swat District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The CTD officials stated that the Izzat, during the interrogation, confessed his involvement in several terrorist activities including the attack on the house of the former Federal Minister Wazir Afzal Khan Lala, the attack on Security Forces, and the attack on Matta Police station. A cache of arms and ammunition were recovered from his possession.
