The main opposition party, Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Marxist-Leninist (CPN-UML), on September 13 boycotted the all-party meeting called by Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota to resolve Parliament obstruction, reports Republica. The CPN-UML has maintained that the Speaker Sapkota should either announce dismissal of 14 former CPN-UML lawmakers as recommended by the party or step down to pave the way for the election of new Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR).
