Chairman of Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist Centre (CPN-Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives (HoR) by a huge margin of votes from Gorkha- 2 in Gorkha District of Province No. 4, reports My Republica on November 24. He won with 26,103 votes. His closest rival Kabindra Burlakoti of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) got 12,637 votes, while Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Marxist-Leninist (CPN-UML)'s Abdus Miya got 7,393 votes. The result of the election has not been officially released yet. A total of 54,031 votes were cast in Gorkha-2. Of them, 3,124 votes were declared invalid.
