The report of the Committee appointed to study the 20th Amendment to the Constitution handed over to Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa on September 15, reports Colombo Page. The relevant report notes new clauses to be added and clauses to be amended with regard to the 20th Amendment. Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa on September 12 appointed a nine-member committee headed by Minister GL Peiris to study the 20th Amendment to the Constitution. The Committee consisted of ministers, state ministers and ruling party parliamentarians.
