Police arrested a businessman, Akram Hossain (48), the owner of 'Image Carton Factory' in Adamjee Export Processing Zone in Narayanganj District on charges of funding JeI and its associate student front ICS.

JeI-ICS cadres enforced hartal (general strike) in the Bogra town of Bogra District and vandalised six vehicles, including a Police van and exploded bombs to create panic among the people.

In an eight-hour hartal (general strike) enforced by JeI-ICS cadres, the cadres hurled brick chips on the law enforcers triggering a clash that left five cadres injured and 34 cadres arrested in Rajshahi District.

Dhaka city

12 cadres of JeI-ICS were injured and six of them arrested when Police intercepted procession brought out by JeI-ICS cadres.

Gaibandha District

Clashes erupted when Police intercepted procession brought out by JeI-ICS cadres at Station Bazar Road demanding immediate release of their detained leaders. At least 14 JeI-ICS cadres and four Policemen sustained injuries.

JeI-ICS cadres clashed with to mount pressure on the Government to stop the war crimes trials. The clash left at least 70 people, including 50 Policemen, injured.

Dhaka City

A group of 20 to 25 JeI-ICS cadres, equipped with sharp weapons, sticks and brickbats, damaged vehicles parked in front of Bahadur Shah Park near Jagannath University, Dhaka. They set ablaze two passenger buses, vandalised at least five others and fled as Police rushed to the spot.

Dhaka City

Cases have been filed against more than 5,000 persons, including 200 leaders and cadres of the JeI-ICS across the country for their alleged involvement in attacking law enforcers and vandalising vehicles on January 28.

Dhaka City

JeI-ICS cadres carried out 20 explosions and set ablaze 15 vehicles in the Dhaka City as they brought out a procession in the city, demanding immediate release of their leaders on war crime trial. Police arrested 38 JeI-ICS cadres in this connection.

In Manirampur sub-District of Jessore District one Police constable identified as Jahurul Haq (40) was killed in a clash between JeI-ICS cadres and the Police. At least 20 people, including eight Policemen were injured in the clash. Four JeI-ICS cadres were arrested in connection with the attack on the Police.

Feni District

In Feni District, an autorickshaw driver succumbed to his wounds after his vehicle was attacked by JeI-ICS cadres.

Bogra District

The Police arrested 32 JeI- ICS cadres from different parts of the Bogra town of Bogra District on charge of their involvement in the violence during the hartal (shut down) on January 31 in the town. Police also filed two cases against 2400 cadres of JeI-ICS over violence during the hartal in the town.

Gulshan town in Dhaka District

Police arrested seven leaders and cadres JeI-ICS from a building housing a private college at Gulshan town in Dhaka District while they were holding a "secret meeting on subversive activities against the Government". The arrestees are identified as Hedayet Ullah, Sagir Ahmed and Abdul Mannan (leaders) and Saleh Ahmed, Mostafizur Rahman, Abdul Mannan, and Kobir Ahmed (Cadres).

Narayanganj District

In Narayanganj city of Narayanganj District, fierce violence witnessed as JeI-ICS cadres went on the rampage and assaulted the Police. At least 15 Policemen were injured in the incident.

Bogra District

JeI-ICS cadres went on the rampage and assaulted the Police in Bogra District. At least five Policemen suffered injuries.

Bagerhat District

JeI-ICS cadres went on the rampage and assaulted the Police in Bagerhat District.

Narayanganj District

Police filed two cases against 100 cadres of JeI-ICS on charge of assaulting the Police in Narayanganj city of Narayanganj District on February 2. Following the cases, Police arrested at least 30 JeI-ICS cadres.

Chittagong District

Two ICS cadres (Imran Khan and Afzal Hossain) and Shafiqu, a worker of Youngone factory were killed during a clash with Police. Police arrested 15 ICS cadres from the District.

Dhaka city

JeI-ICS cadres exploded 10 crude bombs when Police obstructed them. A Police constable, Nur Nabi, was injured and 52 cadres were arrested from the city.

Comilla District

In Comilla District, one JeI-ICS cadre was injured in Police firing.

Rajshahi District

About 10 JeI-ICS cadres were injured in a clash with Police as they were intercepted by the law-enforcers. 

Khulna District

In Khulna District, Police arrested seven JeI-ICS cadres from the Khulna city.

Sylhet District

In Sylhet District, 30 people, including a constable, were injured during a clash with JeI-ICS cadres and Police.

Satkhira District

In Satkhira District, three Policemen were injured in a clash with JeI-ICS cadres.

Bogra District

In Bogra District, Police arrested five cadres of JeI-ICS.

In Natore District, Police arrested one cadre of JeI-ICS.

Laxmipur District

In Laxmipur District, Police arrested four cadres of JeI-ICS.

Gazipur District

In Gazipur District, Police arrested 15 cadres of JeI-ICS.

Narayanganj District

At Siddhirganj in Narayanganj District, JeI-ICS cadres equipped with iron rods and sharp weapons swooped on Police. At least 15 people including three Policemen suffered injuries during the clash.

Dhaka city

At Paribagh in Dhaka city, Badrul Hasan (30), an Assistant Superintendent of Police, was injured during a chase and counter-chase between the law enforcers and the JeI-ICS cadres. Police arrested two cadres from the spot.

Rajshahi District

In Rajshahi city of Rajshahi District, nine JeI-ICS cadres were arrested for attacking the Police.

Khulna District

At Batiaghata in Khulna District at least 15 people including two Policemen were injured during a clash between JeI-ICS cadres and the Police.

Sirajganj District

At Raiganj in Sirajganj District, at least 10 people, including two Policemen were injured as JeI-ICS cadres clashed with them. The injured Policemen are Tazul Huda, officer-in-charge (OC) of Solonga Police Station, and Ali Farid Ahmed, OC of Sirajganj Highway Police.

Sylhet District

At least five cadres of BCL, the associate student front of the ruling AL, were injured in an attack by a group of 25 JeI-ICS cadres in Sylhet District.

Chittagong District

Police arrested five leaders and cadres of JeI-ICS, including JeI Chandanaish sub-District unit secretary Amirul Islam of Chittagong District while they were holding a secret meeting. The rest of the arrestees were identified as JeI cadres Monirul Haque and Sarwar Alam and ICS cadres Mohammad Irfan and Mohammad Morshed.

Chittagong District

A dawn-to-dusk hartal called by JeI-ICS cadres underwent in Chittagong District demanding the arrest of those who were involved in the killing of three people during JeI-ICS cadres enforced hartal on February 5. An autorickshaw was torched by JeI-ICS cadres and the driver of the autorickshaw was injured in the attack.

Dhaka city

Dhaka University students pushed an ICS leader off Haji Muhammad Mohsin Hall's third floor and beat up two other leaders. Rakib, the hall''s ICS unit president and of political science department, was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital after being pushed off. Sanaullah Pritom, the hall's ICS unit general secretary and of law department and Noki, the hall's ICS unit organising secretary and of development studies department were beaten up in their rooms.

Mymensingh District

An angry mob set a mess of JeI-ICS on fire on Brahma Palli road and vandalised Swadesh Hospital and Islami Bank building in Mymensingh town of Mymensingh District.  At least six people were injured in the incident.

Chapainawabganj District

In Chapainawabganj District, 21 leaders and cadres of JeI-ICS were sent to jail as they appeared before a court and the court rejected their bail prayer in a case of attacking Police and obstructing Government duties.

Dhaka city

In an apparent bid to create panic among the people united on the demand for death penalty to war criminals, JeI-ICS cadres rampaged through different parts of Dhaka city. The JeI-ICS cadres carried out hit-and-run assault at Police, leaving at least 30 injuries. 73 JeI-ICS cadres were arrested in the city.

Satkhira District

In Satkhira District, seven Policemen were wounded in attacks by the JeI-ICS cadres and Police arrested 103 cadres in the District.

Noakhali District

In Noakhali District, at least eight JeI-ICS cadres were injured when they fought a pitched battle with Police.

Khulna District

In Khulna District, at least 50 people, including seven Policemen, were injured when the JeI-ICS cadres clashed with law enforcers. Seven cadres were arrested after the incident on charge of attacking Police and obstructing law enforcers in discharging their duties.

Dhaka city

In Dhaka city, at least 20 people, including an additional deputy commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, were injured in the clashes. About 150 JeI-ICS cadres were arrested from the city.

Chittagong District

In Chittagong District, JeI-ICS cadres vandalised at least eight buses and two covered vans. The Police arrested eight JeI-ICS cadres after combing through the Chittagong city.

Barisal District

In Barisal District, at least five persons were injured and three of the JeI-ICS cadres were arrested from the Barisal city.

Rangpur District

In Rangpur District, Police arrested 13 JeI-ICS cadres from Mithapukur sub-District after a clash.

Dhaka city

In Dhaka city, Zafar Ali Munshi (47), a Bank employee who was injured in an attack by JeI- ICS cadres on February 13 succumbed to his injuries at a city hospital.

Chittagong District

In Chittagong District, Bahadur Hossain (55), a village watchman who sustained injuries during a clash between Police and JeI-ICS cadres on February 6, succumbed to his injuries at Chittagong Medical College Hospital of the District.

Rajshahi District

At least 31 people including five Policemen were injured in a clash between JeI-ICS cadres and Police in Rajshahi city of Rajshahi District. The Police arrested 12 JeI-ICS cadres from the area.

Chittagong District

In Chittagong District, Police arrested 11 JeI-ICS cadres after a chase and counter-chase between the two sides on the Chittagong city's Station Road.

Sylhet District

In Sylhet District, Police arrested 10 JeI-ICS cadres on charge of attacking a bus of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology in Sylhet city. At least 10 students were injured in the attack.

Lalmonirhat District

In Lalmonirhat District, Police arrested Abu Taher, office secretary of ICS's central committee at Jongra village of Patgram sub-District for holding a secret meeting.

Bogra District

In Bogra District, people caught one ICS cadre with sharp weapons at Chapapur bazar area. Later he was handed over to Police.

Dhaka city

In Dhaka city, 238 leaders and cadres of JeI-ICS were arrested on charges of vandalising vehicles and assaulting Policemen.

Cox's Bazar District

Three JeI- ICS cadres were killed and 50 others were injured during a gun battle between JeI-ICS cadres and Police in Cox's Bazar town of Cox's Bazar District. The deceased are identified as Ahmed Saleh (40), Tofael Ahmed (22) and Nurul Huq (20).

Rajshahi District

In Rajshahi District, in a clash with Police at least 30 JeI-ICS cadres were injured while 24 cadres were arrested. The clash erupted when Police intercepted 500 JeI-ICS cadres barricading the Dhaka-Rajshahi Highway.

Sylhet District

At least 40 people including 12 Policemen were injured as cadres of JeI and ICS clashed with Police in Sylhet District.

Dhaka city

Police arrested two officials of IBBL, Mirpur Branch of Dhaka city for their alleged involvement in financing JeI-ICS for creating anarchy and carrying out subversive activities in the capital during hartal. The arrestees are identified as Manager AKM Shahidul Haque and Senior Principal Officer Hassan Mahmud Mithu of the Bank.

Dhaka city

In the Dhaka city, one contractor Mohammad Ikbal (35) died at Badda during a dawn-to-dusk hartal called by the JeI-ICS.

Comilla District

In Comilla District, one ICS cadre Muhamad Ibrahim (28) was shot dead in Police firing at Chouddagram.

Cox’s Bazar District

In Cox’s Bazar District, a patient, Hafiz Abdur Rahman died as the microbus carrying him came under attack of JeI-ICS cadres on way to a hospital. The Police arrested about 100 JeI-ICS cadres during the hartal hours.

Rajshahi District

At least five AL cadres were injured as JeI-ICS cadres attacked a local office of the ruling party in Binodpur town of Rajshahi District.

Pabna District

JeI-ICS cadres called hartal in Pabna District of the Rajshahi Division protesting arrest of its Rajshahi city ameer (leader) Ataur Rahman in Dhaka on February 19.

Rajshahi District

In Rajshahi city of Rajshahi District, JeI-ICS cadres blasted five hand bombs during a clash with Police. At least 12 JeI-ICS cadres were arrested from the city.

Jhenidah District

At least 30 persons were injured during a clash between the cadres of JeI-ICS and the ruling AL in Moheshpur town of the Jhenidah District. Police arrested 11 JeI-ICS cadres, raiding different areas of the town.

Chittagong District

Police arrested five cadres of ICS in the Chittagong city of Chittagong District. The arrestees, all students, are identified as Abu Bakkar (27), Shamim (27), Mohammad Apel (25), Mohammad Rubel (25), and Liton (29). Police also recovered five machetes, four cartons of bomb-making materials, 10,000 copies of leaflets and 10 litres of petrol.

Tangail District

Police arrested 80 'leaders and cadres' of JeI-ICS in Madhupur sub-District of Tangail District.

Chapainawabganj District

Police arrested seven JeI-ICS cadres from two sub-Districts of Chapainawabganj District on charge of trying to create chaos and confusion. The arrestees were identified as Mohammad Mustakin, Alauddin, Rafiqul Islam, Ruhul Amin, Hasan Ali, Monirul Islam and Mustafizur Rahman.

Gaibandha District

In Palashbari sub-District of Gaibandha District, JeI-ICS cadres clashed with Police. Police opened fired and two JeI-ICS cadres were killed and at least 40 cadres were injured.

Sylhet District

In Sylhet city of Sylhet District, a student of Sylhet MC College was killed during sporadic clashes between law enforcers and activists of different Islamist organisations in the city. The deceased was identified as Mostafa Morshed Tahmid (18). Over 50 cadres and around 35 Policemen were injured during the clashes. At least 35 cadres were arrested.

Jhenidah District

In Jhenidah District, one JeI-ICS cadre identified as Abdus Salam also a madrasa teacher was killed.

Bogra District

In Bogra District, JeI-ICS cadres launched attacks on Police prompting the law enforcers to fire at least 200 shots and teargas shells. More than 50 people, including nine Policemen, were injured in the clashes.

Rajshahi District

In Rajshahi city of Rajshahi District, JeI-ICS cadres clashed with Police, leaving around 50 people, including 10 Policemen, injured. Police arrested 26 cadres. 

Patuakhali District

In Patuakhali District, at least 35 people, including three Policemen, were injured in clashes.

Khulna District

In Khulna city of Khulna District, sporadic clashes between law enforcers and JeI-ICS cadres in different parts of the city left around 25 people injured. .

Dhaka city

In Dhaka city, JeI-ICS cadres attacked Dhaka University''s Ekushey and Shahidullah halls leaving at least 15 students injured. Police arrested 172 cadres in the city. 

Chittagong District

In Chittagong city of Chittagong District, at least four Policemen were injured in clashes with the JeI-ICS cadres. The injured are identified as Inspector Pravash Chandra Dhar, Sub-Inspector Muhamad Kamruzzaman, Assistant Sub-Inspector Mafizur Rahman and Constable Mohammad Jahangir. 25 cadres had been arrested in the port city in connection with the rampage.

Pabna District

In Pabna town of Pabna District, gunfight between JeI-ICS cadres and Police during a hartal killed two JeI-ICS cadres and injured 30 others, including 18 Policemen. The deceased were identified as Alal Hossain (18) and Sirajul Islam (17). Police have also arrested 15 JeI-ICS cadres from different areas of the District.

Barisal District

At least 10 people, including one journalist, were injured when law enforcers prevented a procession of JeI-ICS led Islamists from entering the Barisal town of Barisal District.

Manikganj District

Four persons were killed and at least 50 others injured in clashes between Islamists led by JeI-ICS and the Police in Singair sub-District in Manikganj District in a hartal. The deceased are identified as Alamgir Hossain (35), a farmer Nasir Ahmed (30), a husk trader Nazimuddin Mollah (26), an expatriate and Shah Alam (20), a student.

Dhaka city

Police arrested a leader of ICS in Court Road Area of the Dhaka city while he was preparing to picket during a hartal. The detainee is identified as Abdul Karim, Government College unit president.

Chittagong District

In Chittagong District, Police arrested seven ICS cadres and recovered 10 cocktails and many iron rods, sticks and marbles from their rooms while raiding the hostel of Alam Shah Para Kamil Madrasa at Rangunia sub-District.

Sylhet District

Two persons, Ali Asgar Khan Rahat, social welfare secretary of Sylhet city unit of ICS, and Abdur Rahman Shahin, a shop owner, who sustained bullet injuries in separate clashes with Police in Sylhet District, succumbed to their injuries.

Kishoreganj District

At least 40 persons, including 20 Policemen, were injured as the cadres of JeI-ICS clashed with the Police in Kishoreganj town of Kishoreganj District. Police arrested 13 cadres from the town.

Brahmanbaria District

JeI-ICS demanding execution of bloggers for their blasphemous posts online exploded 20 crude bombs at 10 places in Brahmanbaria town of Brahmanbaria District. Police recovered three crude bombs from the town.

Dhaka city

JeI-ICS cadres hurled several homemade bombs at law enforcers at different points of the Dhaka city as they tried to stage demonstrations and damage vehicles. Police arrested 10 JeI-ICS cadres from the city.

Chapainawabganj District

In Chapainawabganj District, JeI-ICS cadres brought out a procession in Shibganj Bazar area and suddenly attacked Policemen with brick chips and stick, injuring 14 Policemen.

Dhaka city

In Dhaka city, JeI-ICS cadres attacked a bus carrying the footballers of under-16 team leaving five players injured.

Rajshahi District

In Rajshahi District, at least five people, including two journalists and a Policeman, were injured as JeI-ICS cadres clashed with Police at Sheroil Colony in Rajshahi city. Three of the cadres have been arrested from the city.

Rangapur District

Seven JeI-ICS cadres were killed in Rangapur District as they clashed with law enforcers.

In Sylhet District, Jagat Juti Talukder (32), a former leader of of BCL was hacked to death by suspected ICS cadres in Sylhet town.

Rangpur District

In Rangpur District, Akmal Hossain, who suffered bullet wounds during clashes between Police and JeI-ICS cadres at Pirgachha town on February 28 was succumbed to injuries.

Jhenaidah District

In Jhenaidah District, six AL cadres, including the union AL vice-president, were injured when the JeI-ICS cadres swooped on them at Chorkole village.

Bogra District

In Bogra District, at least 10 civilians, including three women, were killed in fierce fighting between law enforcers and villagers led by JeI-ICS cadres.

Joypurhat District

In Joypurhat District, six JeI-ICs cadres - Forman Ali (25), Nasir Uddin (20), Majidul Islam (35), Abdul Hakim (20), Hesab Ali (50) and Majnu (15) were killed in clash with Police.

Rajshahi District

In Rajshahi District, four civilians were killed in clashes between the Police and JeI-ICS cadres.

Jheniadah Distrcit

In Jheniadah Distrcit, Omar Faruque (40), a Police constable was killed when JeI-ICS cadres swooped on the law enforcers.

Gazipur District

In Gazipur District, Abdur Razzak (22), Shreepur sub-District president of ICS was knocked down and killed by a truck while he was picketing at Joina Bazar on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in Shreepur.

Satkhira District

In Satkhira District, Mahbubur Rahman (30), a JeI-ICS cadre was shot dead by BGB.

Dhaka city

Leaders of CPB and BSD said no new law is needed to ban JeI and ICS. Banning JeI-ICS is possible by using existing laws as they have already committed many terrorist activities.

In Satkhira District, JeI-ICS cadres blocked the Kalaroa-Sarashikatki road with logs and attacked Police when the law enforcers reached the spot.  The Police opened fire in which three cadres - Arif Billah (40), Ruhul Amin (35) and Shamsur Rahman (42) died. Two others cadres got injured.

In Sirajganj District, a teenage boy was killed when Police opened fire in the face of attacks by JeI-ICS cadres in Ullapara sub-District. The deceased was identified as Mahfuz. At least 15 people were also injured.

In Rangpur District, a JeI-ICS cadre, who sustained bullet injury during February 28’s clashes at Mithapukur town, succumbed to his injury.

At least five JeI-ICS cadres were arrested at Poly Technical Institution in Mirkadim town of Munshiganj District while they were preparing to commit sabotage activities. The arrestees were identified as Khorshad Alam (24), Jahidul Islam (22), Ismail Hossain (20), Jubair Hossain (18), and Rasel (17).

An AL leader identified as Abul Hossain Bhuiyan (65), a leader of Kalihati sub-District was killed by JeI-ICS cadres in Tangail District. JeI-ICS cadres murdered him in a planned way to create panic among the people.

Mozahar Ali, a constable of Pirgachha Police Station in Rangpur District, succumbed to his injuries. Ali was critically injured in the head on February 28 in the clashes between JeI-ICS cadres and law enforcers.

ICS cadre Muhamed Dulal of Thakurgaon District, who was injured in the recent clashes between JeI-ICS cadres and law enforcers, was succumbed to his injuries.

ICS cadre Muhamed Selim of Bogra District, who was injured in the recent clashes between JeI-ICS cadres and law enforcers, was succumbed to his injuries.

Shaheed Siddiki (25) a BCL leader injured on February 23 by JeI-ICS cadres arson died in Tangail District.

A joint force of Police, RAB and BGB raided 15 villages of Pabna District in search of unruly JeI-ICS cadres. The law enforcers arrested three people on suspicion of their involvement with JeI politics.

DLA holds a rally in front of the National Press Club in Dhaka City, protesting at the attacks on minorities in the country. They urged the Government to take stern actions to stop countrywide anarchy and attacks on religious minorities by JeI-ICS cadres.

One JeI-ICS cadre died falling from the rooftop of a building in Dhaka city’s Paltan area, after he and several others climbed up the roof of the building to escape arrest.

Police arrested three JeI-ICS leaders in connection with attacking Police, snatching weapons and preventing them from discharging their duties during a clash on February 28 from Jhenidah District. The arrestees are JeI Kotchandpur sub-District unit chief Tajul Islam, Kotchandpur JeI leader Maksudur Rahman and former ICS president of Kotchandpur Saad Ahmed.

Police arrested three ICS leaders from a mess in Shylhet city of Sylhet District. The arrestees are Sylhet District (West) unit ICS President Dulal Ahmed, its Office Secretary Shafat Ahmed and Literary Secretary Abdul Malek.

Tanvir Mohammad Toki, son of Narayanganj Gonojagoron Mancha convener Rafiur Rabbi was abducted and later killed by JeI-ICS cadres. His body was recovered from Shitalakkhya in Narayanganj District.

Police arrested 14 cadres of ICS from south Halishahar in Chittagong District while they were holding a secret meeting to unleash subversive activities and anarchy.

A Policeman was killed and at least three other Policemen were injured when JeI-ICS cadres opened fire to snatch away one of their cadre who had been arrested by the Police in Khulna District.

In Bagha sub-district of Rajshahi District, JeI-ICS cadres assaulted Police officials on a drive to arrest Bagha Municipality JeI chief Nuhu Sarker and activist Nazrul Islam in a case filed over an earlier attack on Police. Five constables were injured in the attack.

Police arrested an ICS leader from Modan sub-District of Netrakona District on charge of his alleged involvement in planning for doing subversive activities there. The arrestee was identified as Mizanur Rahman.

In Joypurhat District, Police arrested 23 JeI-ICS cadres from different areas of the District. Police said they were arrested in connection with JeI-Police clash cases on March 3 and 4 during JeI hartal.

In Jhenidah District, Police arrested 14 JeI-ICS cadres on charge of murder of Constable Faruk Hossan on March 3 J. 10 other Policemen also suffered injuries in the attack.

Police arrested four JeI-ICS cadres from Chittagong District for their involvement in arson, vandalism and attack on minority community. The arrestees were Faruk (25), Kawsar (22), Harun (39) and Sirajul Haque (54).

Sachetan Hindu Samaj in a news conference at the Chittagong Press Club in Chittagong District asked the Government to compensate the members of religious minorities affected by attacks of JeI and ICS across the country. Lokonath Ashram Parishad leader Tapon Chakrabarty and Bangladesh Hindu Alliance Chittagong chapter convener Jishu Krishna Rakkhith were also present in conference.

One hundred eminent religious leaders expressed solidarity with the ongoing series of programmes of IOJ, which is protesting against the terrorist activities of JeI and ICS cadres and indecent remarks against Prophet Hazrat Muhammad. They said the JeI-ICS cadres were out to put the country into a severe crisis by unleashing terrorism, killing law enforcers and setting fire to places of worship of minority communities like the 1971 War of Liberation across the country.

Police arrested 16 cadres of Islami Chhatri Sangstha, the female student wing of JeI and two cadres of ICS, the male student wing of JeI, in Fatullah town of Narayanganj District while they were holding a meeting.

A cadre of ICS was killed and 15 others, including five Policemen, were injured during the day-long hartal enforced by JeI-ICS in Sylhet District. The deceased was identified as Golam Rabbani (25). Police arrested seven ICS cadres from the District.

A cadre of JeI-ICS was killed and 12 others, including two Policemen, were injured in a clash between Police and JeI-ICS cadres at Joypur village of Jessore District. The deceased was identified as Anisur Rahman (35).

The Police arrested five JeI-ICS cadres in Chittagong District for their suspected involvement in vandalism and burning of vehicles during two-day strike the opposition alliance enforced from March 18-19. The arrestees are Mohammad Kutub Uddin, Abdul Jalil, Shahidul Islam, Mohammad Selim, and Tanvir Hasan.

At least five people, including three Policemen, were injured in violence during JeI-ICS's dawn-to-dusk hartal in Chittagong District. During their rampage, JeI-ICS cadres blasted 13 homemade bombs and brought out brisk processions in the port city. Police arrested seven cadres in this connection.

The JeI-ICS cadres attacked a Police team in Khansama sub-District of Dinajpur District when Police were returning after arresting JeI leader Waresh Ali wanted in connection with earlier cases on clash with Police.

In Chapainawabganj District, three cadres of ICS were killed and 30 others sustained bullet injuries when the Police opened fire to disperse a mob of villagers led by JeI-ICS cadres after they attacked the law enforcers during a raid in Shyampur village of the District. The deceased were identified as Waliullah (18), Matiur Rahman Mati (45), and Rabiul Islam (25).

In Sirajganj District one ICS cadre identified as Yunus Ali (16) and a BNP cadre identified as Farid (19) was killed and 45 others, including three Police men were injured during violent clashes with the Police at Kalyanpur village of the District.

Police arrested 24 JeI-ICS cadres from a mosque at East Kalidas village of Feni District while they were holding a secret meeting inside the mosque.

Police arrested 13 ICS leaders from Nighum Chattrabas, a hostel in the Rangpur city of Rangpur District and recovered a huge number of Jehadi books, iron rods and other weapons. The arrested leaders are Safiqul Islam, Shah Alam, Samiul Islam, Mehedi Hasan, Ismail Hossain, Abul Zahid, Nayan Mia, Nazrul Islam, Nuruzzaman, Mohosin Ali, Sawapon Gani, Mehefuz and Sahinur.

At least 50 people including two Policemen were injured when cadres of JeI-ICS hurled 15 homemade bombs in Rajshahi city of Rajshahi District. Around 100 JeI-ICS cadres brought out a procession to press their demands of an end to the war crimes trial and release of party cadres arrested in connection with a clash on March 29.

At least 40 people injured in a clash between cadres of BCL and ICS on the campus of Islamic University in Kushtia District. During the clash, both the groups exchanged around 20 bullets and blasted around 50 homemade bombs.

Police arrested three JeI cadres including secretary of the town committee of the Bogra District Muhamad Majedur Rahman Jewel. Police said when the team arrested Jewel at that time a group of JeI-ICS cadres attacked the Police and the recent violence in the district town was carried out by the direction of Jewel.

ICS President Delwar Hossain was arrested in the Dhaka city's Shyamoli for alleged involvement in recent violence and attacks on Police. Police said "The ICS leader was involved in almost all the recent acts of violence, such as arson, vandalism, bombing and attacks on Police."

Rangpur District

In Rangpur District, at least 50 people were injured when the cadres of ICS, protesting the arrest of their central president, damaged 12 buses and set ablaze two buses in Dharmadas area on the Rangpur-Dhaka highway.

Rajshahi District

In Rajshahi District, at least eight people, including a Police official, were injured in a clash between JeI-ICS cadres and Police. The clashes erupted when the JeI-ICS cadres brought out a procession in Shalbagan area.

Jhenidah District

In Jhenidah District, at least five ICS cadres were injured when the Police and ICS cadres locked in a clash in the Jhenidah town. Police arrested one ICS cadre in this connection.

Chittagong District

In Chittagong District, Police arrested seven JeI-ICS cadres, in connection with a case filed for torching and vandalising vehicles on March 31 in Bahaddarhat area.

Khulna District

In Khulna District, in a pre-hartal raid, a team of Police arrested JeI leader Prof. Abdul Matin and 30 ICS cadres from separate places in the Khulna city.

Rajshahi District

BCL cadres stabbed two ICS cadres at RU of Rajshahi District and handed over them to Police. The injured ICS cadres are Borhan Uddin and Ali Hossain, both third year students of Islamic Studies Department.

Gazipur District

20 JeI-ICS leaders and cadres were arrested from Kharajura area of Gazipur District. Police arrested them while they were taking preparation for picketing in the area during hartal called by the 18-party alliance.

Chapainawabganj District

Two members of JSD were seriously injured in an attack allegedly by the cadres of JeI-ICS in front of Shibganj Academy of Chapainawabganj District. The injured were identified as Ariful Islam Will (42) and Toslem Uddin (42).

Dinajpur District

Police filed a case against 1,000 cadres of JeI-ICs on charges of attacking Police and obstructing them from discharging their duties in Chirirbandar town of Dinajpur District.

Bagerhat District

Police filed a case against 500 JeI-ICS cadres in Bagerhat District on charge of attacking the law enforcers and preventing them from discharging their duties in Fakirhat town.

Northern Districts

JeI-ICS cadres observed a daylong hartal in the 16 northern Districts of the country demanding immediate release of party President Delwar Hossain who was arrested from Dhaka city on March 31.

Rajshahi District

RAB in a pre-dawn raid arrested 36 cadres of ICS in connection with the attack on Policemen and recovered a large number of sharp weapons, jihadi books, leaflets and bombs from a mess controlled by ICS in Rajshahi city of Rajshahi District.

Rangpur District

Police arrested eight local leaders of ICS from a student mess in Rangpur city of Rangpur District. Police also recovered huge bomb making materials, books on jihad, donation receipts, petrol, identity cards, mobile phones, computer, laptop, CDs, two motorbikes and a megaphone from the mess.

Comilla District

Police arrested 36 cadres of JeI-ICS from different parts of the Comilla District. Police arrested 12 JeI-ICS cadres from Comilla town, six from Sadar Dakkhin sub-District, three each from Barura and Monohorganj sub-Districts, two each from Nangolkot, Burichang, Muradnagar, Titash and Daudkandi sub-Districts and one each from Chandina and Laksham sub-Districts.

Natore District

At least 40 people were injured during a clash between AL and BNP-ICS cadres at Malanchi Bazar of Natore District. At least 25 AL men and 15 BNP-ICS cadres were injured in the clash.

In Dhaka city, cadres of JCD and ICS brought out processions in support of the hartal and exploded 19 homemade bombs creating panic in the city.

In Dinajpur District, 12 persons including five Policemen were injured as JCD-ICS cadres clashed with Police in the morning. Police arrested six JCD-ICS cadres from the District. 10 homemade bombs in different parts of the District town.

A case has been filed against 111 BNP and JeI-ICS cadres on charge of killing a truck driver in Bogra town of Bogra District during BNP-led 18-party alliance's daylong hartal across the country on April 9, Police filed the case against 41 named and 70 unnamed cadres.

One JeI-ICS cadre identified as Mansoor Ali (50) was killed and over 50 people were injured when the Police fired bullets during a clash with JeI-ICS cadres at Chechuri village under Dumiria sub-District in Khulna District.

In Dhaka city, ICS cadres brought out several violent processions and involved in a clash with the Police. Eight homemade bombs were also exploded sparking panic among the locals. Two Policemen and two ICS cadres were injured during the clashes. The Police arrested 30 ICS cadres in connection with the arson from the city.

In Sathkhira District, two people were injured in an attack carried out by JeI-ICS cadres. Union president Habibar Rahman of the AL and local AL activist Abdul Karim Sardar were injured.

In Feni District, ICS cadres vandalised a truck and a few other vehicles, and exploded at least 20 homemade bombs.

In Comilla District, ICS cadres exploded four homemade bombs. The Police arrested four ICS cadres while they were organising a picket.

In Bogra District, ICS cadres blocked the Dhaka-Bogra highway. They also staged a demonstration there and set tyres ablaze. Two homemade bombs were exploded in the Bogra town's Yakubia School intersection.

A case has been filed against some 5,000 people in connection with April 11's triangular clash involving activists of AL and JeI-ICS-Hefajat-e-Islam at Kazirhat village in Fatikchari sub-District of Chittagong District that left three people dead. Police filed the case against 100 named and 4,900 unnamed people.

A JeI-ICS cadre, who was injured in a clash with Police in Boda sub-District of Panchagarh District during a daylong hartal, called by JeI-ICS on April 11, died at a hospital. The deceased is identified as Abu Taleb (28).

In Khulna District, JeI-ICS cadres vandalised 15 BRTC buses and exploded six crude bombs after damaging the vehicles. During the hartal, Zahidul Islam (13), a student of Class VI of Gopalpur High School, sustained severe burn injury in the legs.

In Jaipurhat District, hartal was observed by JeI-ICS cadres without any major incident of violence happening there.

An activist of BCL, the student front of the AL was killed in an attack by the cadres of JCD and ICS in Rajshahi city of Rajshahi District. The deceased is identified as Rabiul Islam.

Moulvibazar District

At least three Policemen were injured in an attack launched by JeI and ICS cadres in Moulvibazar District. The injured persons are identified as OC Nazim Uddin, Sub-Inspector Abul Hussain, and Constable Mujammel Hussain. The cadres of JeI-ICS attacked the three-member Police team when it went to Kharpara village of the District to arrest the JeI-ICS cadres accused in a case filed earlier. Police arrested 12 cadres in connection with the incident.

Chapainawabganj District

In Chapainawabganj District, ICS cadres clashed with Police when the pro-hartal processionists' hurled brick chips at the law enforcers. Police fired at least eight rounds of bullets from shotgun to disperse the cadres equipped with bamboo sticks. Police arrested one ICS cadre after the clash.

Rajshahi District

In Rajshahi District, pro-hartal activists torched tyres after pouring petrol on the road in Binodpur area. Police arrested six cadres of ICS for "trying to creating chaos".

Sylhet District

At least eight people were injured as cadres of ICS allegedly exploded homemade bombs near the main gate of SUST in Sylhet District. The ICS cadres also vandalised a restaurant near the gate where some SUST unit BCL men were taking foods only few minutes before the incident.

Khulna District

Two ICS cadres were arrested in connection with the explosion of three crude bombs in front of the office of Khulna Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Khulna District on April 12. The Police and the RAB in joint drives arrested Molla Ashrafuzzaman Babul (36) and Rafiqul Islam (24) from Baitypara road of the District.

Rangpur District

A leader of BCL was seriously injured as cadres of ICS attacked him in Rangpur city of Rangpur District. The victim is identified as Rafiur Rahman Rafi, president of Rangpur Carmichael College unit BCL.

Chittagong District

Police arrested 12 JeI-ICS from Chittagong city of Chittagong District accused in the Fatikchari violence. On April 11 in an attack by JeI-ICS cadres on an AL procession at Kazirhat Bazar under Fatikchari sub-District left three people dead and more than 100 others, including Police and fire fighters, injured.

Sirajganj District

Police had to retreat from Kalyanpur village in Sirajganj District in the face of angry protests from JeI and ICS. The Police went to Kalyanpur village to arrest accused persons in a case against JeI-ICS cadres.

Chapainawabganj District

Two leaders of BCL were seriously injured in an attack by JeI-ICS cadres in Shibganj sub-District of Chapainawabganj District. The injured leaders were Karimul Islam Rajin, former president of Shibganj unit of BCL and Moshiur Rahman Hitul, secretary of Shibganj unit of BCL. Police arrested seven JeI-ICS cadres in this connection.

Dinajpur District

As many as 29 cases were filed with different Police Stations of Dinajpur District suing at least 13,000 JeI-ICS cadres and BNP activists for their involvement in violence in the District since the pronouncement of the verdict against Moulana Delwar Hossain Saidee for war crimes on February 28.

Comilla District

Two Policemen were injured in a clash with ICS cadres at Chouddagram sub-District in Comilla District. The ICS cadres also vandalised a Police vehicle and a number of vehicles plying on Dhaka-Chittagong Highway.

Rajshahi District

In Rajshahi District, ICS cadres vandalised a goods-laden truck in Kapashia area on the outskirts of the Rajshahi city. They also exploded homemade bombs in Kharkhari, Balia, and Shahmakhdum areas.

Chapainawabganj District

In Chapainawabganj District, ICS cadres blocked Chapainawabganj-Sonamasjid Road at Razarampur and Shibtala area in the Chapainawabganj town by burning tyres. They exploded homemade bombs at Boro Indira intersection, Shibtala and Upar Razarampur in the town.

Dhaka city

Five cadres of ICS were arrested in Dhaka city's Adabar and Dhaka University campus. During a drive at a house in Adabar area, RAB arrested Mobarak Hossain, education secretary of ICS, and Russell Ahmed, ICS Central Committee member, with computers and books and CDs on jihad. The two are accused in various cases filed with different Police stations. Meanwhile, BCL detained three Dhaka University students suspecting them as ICS cadres and handed over to Police. The detainees were identified as Abu Saleh, Nazmul Ahmed and Saidur Rahman.

Chapainawabganj District

A 14-year-old boy, Ali Limon was killed and around 50 people others injured during clashes between ICS cadres and law enforcers in Chapainawabganj District. There were also reports of explosion of homemade bombs.

Chittagong District

Police and RAB arrested six ICS cadres at Satkania sub-District in Chittagong District in connection with cases filed with the Satkania Police Station. The arrestees were identified as Nurul Alam (34), Md Jamal (28), Md Shahidul Islam (25), Md Nasir (25), Moazzem (24), and Md Shohel (20).

Chittagong District

JeI and ICS called eight-hour hartals in Chittagong District. Police arrested Chittagong District unit JeI Ameer (Chief) Jafor Sadek in connection with the JeI-ICS cadres' mayhem.

Chittagong District

A minor girl was killed during a clash between cadres of ICS and BCL in Satkania sub-District of Chittagong District. The deceased minor girl is identified as two-and-half-year-old Sukhi. Sukhi died on the spot as a bullet hit her during the clash that also left five people injured.

Sylhet District

Finance Minister AMA Muhith addressing at the reception for 36 decorated freedom fighters of Sylhet District, in a Shylhet city hotel said JeI-ICS cadres were in their "last attempt" in foiling the ongoing trial of war criminals.

Chapainawabganj District

Cadres of ICS attacked a Police team at Shibtala in the Chapainawabganj District Headquarters, leaving Sub-Inspector Rais Uddin of the Chapainawabganj Sadar Police injured. Police arrested two ICS cadres, including its Chapainawabganj Town unit president Enayetullah from the spot.

A leader of Jubo League was allegedly killed by ICS cadres by cutting the carotid arteries of his neck and the tendons of hands and legs in Bakhrabaj area of Rajshahi District. The deceased is identified as Anwarul Islam Anar (35), the General Secretary of the Rajshahi city's unit Jubo League.

A Chittagong District court sentenced four ICS cadres to life term imprisonment for killing a leader of BCL. The fugitive convicts are Muzahidul Islam Selim, Muhamad Hamid, Rahamat Ullah, and Muhamad Selim. BCL leader Ariful Islam was injured on January 15, 2000 over the then Chittagong City Corporation election and died in Dhaka on January 19, 2000.

A Sylhet District court sent 42 cadres of JeI-ICS to jail in a case filed in connection with the attack on ruling AL office on March 2. The attackers also vandalised several shops and set them on fire to press for the release of JeI leader Delawar Hossain Sayeedi.

Describing the activities of HeI as 'mysterious', Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu said "The movement of HeI is not to protect the faith of Muslims. They are working as the shadow of JeI-ICS to foil the trials of war criminals."

Environment and Forest Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud urged HeI to call off their Dhaka blockade programme on May 5 to avoid sabotage. He told journalists at his secretariat office "We have information that BNP and JeI-ICS cadres are planning to foil HeI's blockade programme, carrying out sabotage by entering the programme in the guise of HeI."

Home Minister Dr Mohiuddin Khan Alamgir said that the JeI-ICS cadres have joined the procession and rally under the garb of the HeI and they have attacked the Police, damaged and burned down public property. Later, he claimed that the situation, prevailing in the capital, is under control.

Junaid Babunagari, secretary general of HeI, during an interrogation, blamed activists of JeI and ICS for May 5's violence across the Dhaka city. He also denied responsibilities for the killing, attack, arson, vandalism and looting that took place during the Dhaka blockade of HeI.

Environment Minister Hasan Mahmud said that BNP central leaders MK Anwar and Sadeque Hossain were behind May 5's violence perpetrated by HeI cadres during their rally in Dhaka. He also blamed central leaders of BNP-backed student organisation JCD and JeI's student body ICS for leading the trouble.

In Bogra town of Bogra District, JeI and ICS cadres torched tyres and exploded at least five homemade bombs at a Police vehicle.

Two left-leaning parties, CPB and BSD, at a joint rally in front of the National Press Club in Dhaka city demanded immediate ban on HeI, JeI and ICS for creating anarchy across the country. The leaders of the parties also blamed the main opposition BNP for extending support to HeI.

JeI and ICS cadres clashed with Police and exploded handmade bombs in Rajshahi District after announcement of the verdict in the war crimes case against JeI leader Muhammad Kamaruzzaman. The cadres barricaded Rajshahi-Naogaon road by felling logs and electricity poles. The law enforcers fired rubber bullets, tear gas and sound grenades to disperse the attackers.

Police arrested 15 cadres of ICS from two messes in Rajshahi city of Rajshahi District and recovered two homemade bombs, 500 grams gunpowder, 100 grams potassium, 100 marbles, four sharp weapons, 40 Jihadi books, and 100 posters from them. Police said that the arrested ICS cadres were involved in recent attacks on Police and planning to commit subversive acts in the city after the death sentence of JeI leader Muhammad Kamaruzzaman.

An ICS cadre, identified as Shahadat Hossain, was killed in a gunfight between ISC cadres and RAB at Binodpur Amjad intersection in Rajshahi city of Rajshahi District. Hossain was wanted in a number of cases filed for attacking Police since February, 2013. The law enforcers also recovered a pistol, a magazine loaded with five bullets, six crude bombs and three bottles of patrol near the body of Hossain.

Police arrested an ICS cadre, also one of the prime accused in Police constable Mojahar Ali murder case, in Pirgachha sub-District of Rangpur District. The arrestee was identified as Muhamad Ashikur Rahman (18).

A Sylhet District Court sent 19 leaders and cadres of JeI and ICS to jail after rejecting a bail prayer in two cases. The cases were filed in connection with the JeI-ICS cadres attack at the Palli Bidyut office and clash with Police at Bishwanath sub-District in the Sylhet District on March 20 that left one person dead.

Terming the JeI-ICS as a terrorist outfit, Finance Minister AMA Muhit while speaking at a function at his Secretariat office said, "Their intention is to create anarchy in the country, they've no interest in this country and they never owned this country."

Police arrested at least seven cadres of JeI and ICS at Belkuchi sub-District in Sirajganj District. The arrestees were identified as Hassan Ali, Aiyub Ali, Hafez Mohammad Ali, Shahdat Hossain, Nasir Uddin, Zinnah Akanda and Hossain Ali. They are accused of assault on Police and vandalising AL-office and Police Station.

Police arrested two ICS leaders from Saidpur sub-District of Nilphamari District apprehending sabotage activities in the area. The two arrestees were identified as Muhamad Masum Billah (20), and Muhamad Golam Azam (24).

ICS cadres set ablaze a Police motorbike in Bakal area of Satkhira District in the outskirts of the town (Satkhira) and vandalised a truck during a half-day hartal (General strike) called by JeI, the parent party of the ICS, demanding the release of JeI detained leaders. The arrested leaders are: Moinul Haque, former Member of Parliament Gazi Nazrul Islam, Maulana Rabiul Bashar, Jamaat Azizur Rahman.

Narayanganj District

Police arrested nineteen activists of JeI, ICS and HeI for being involved in attacking law enforcers on May 6 in Narayanganj. Police arrested them at different places in last several days.

Chapainawabganj District

An Awami League activist, Durul Hoda, was stabbed to death by assailants near Daldoli union Parishad office in Bholahat sub-District of Chapainawabganj District. Hoda was the 'general secretary' of Daldoli Union Parishad Awami League unit.

Chittagong District

Police arrested 30 ICS cadres in Chittagong District. The arrestees included ICS's Hazi Mohammad Mohsin Government College unit 'Secretary', Rezwanul Haque Zishan, and ICS's Chittagong city unit 'Madrasah Affairs Secretary', Enamul Haque Sayeed.

Chapainawabganj District

Police arrested three JeI-ICS cadres at Boalia under Gomostapur sub-District in Chapainawabganj District. The trio, identified as Kamruzzaman (30), Mohammad Raihan (22) and Golam Azam (22), were arrested in the case related to the May 23 murder of the Awami League leader Durul Hoda.

Chittagong District

A Chittagong court sent the 30 ICS to jail in connection with assaulting Police and vandalising vehicles in Chittagong city on December 9, 2012, and February 6, 2013.

A Dhaka court framed charges against sixty-one leaders and activists of ICS, including its 'President' Delwar Hossain, in a case filed over vandalising vehicles at Shapla Chattar on January 28.The court fixed June 26 for starting trial of the case. Twenty other accused have been absconding and charges were framed against them in absentia.

Police also arrested the 'office secretary' of ICS in the Narail District on charge of attacking the law-enforcers in November 2012.A case was filed against 200 including Mirazul Islam, (22), on November 6, Police said.

In Sherpur sub-District (Sherpur District), Police arrested Sherpur JeI-unit 'secretary', Dabibur Rahman (48). Following his arrest JeI-ICS men brought out a procession and blasted several cocktails in Sherpur town and vandalised at least 20 vehicles.

Police arrested a total 28 activists, belonging to BNP, JeI and ICS, from different areas of the Noakhali District.

JeI- ICS activists hurled cocktails and brick chips on Policemen, leaving at least four Policemen injured, during the half day hartal (general strike) in Shibtala area in the Chapainawabganj District. The hartal was called by Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP)-led 18-party alliance to protest arrest of JeI leader, Keramat Ali of Shibganj on June 1. Jamaat-Shibir activists also exploded 15 to 20 cocktail bombs.

Police recovered two live cocktails from in front of PTI and Shibtala area, said Bazlur Rashid, officer-in-charge (OC) at Sadar Police Station. Police also detained three pickets from the area.

Police arrested seven ICS activists from Grand Hotel Intersection area in Rangpur city of Rangpur District on June 2. The arrestees were identified as Moniruzzaman (19), Robiul Islam (22), Monjurul Islam (18), Habibur Rahman (26), Obaydul Haque, (21), Mahmudul Hasan, (23), and Fazlul Haque (18). ICS has called for a hartal in Rangpur.

The District units of ICS have called a half-day hartal (general Strike) in Noakhali, Feni and Laxmipur Districts. The shutdown, from 6:00am to 12:00pm, has been called to protest the arrest of Fakhruddin Manik, former 'central president', Atiqul Islam, 'office secretary' and Mahsinul Kabir, 'international affairs secretary' of ICS. The hartal announcement was made on June 2 by the 'presidents' of the District units of ICS.

Chittagong District

An eight-hour long hartal was enforced by ICS in Chittagong District. ICS called the hartal protesting the arrest of ICS Chittagong unit president M Tarique Hossain.

Dhaka city

Unidentified assailants hurled crude bombs at the house of Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu in Darus Salam area of Mirpur in Dhaka city. The house suffered "heavy damage" in the explosion, but no one was injured. The Information Minister, while speaking on different private television channels, blamed JeI and ICS for the attack.

At least 15 people were injured and many vehicles vandalised in Dhaka city during the nationwide hartal enforced by JeI-ICS. JeI-ICS cadres exploded at least eight crude bombs in several areas of the city. Police arrested five cadres from the city.

Police sued 100 JeI-ICS cadres on charge of attacking Police in Sutrapur area of Bogra town in Bogra District. Police said JeI-ICS brought out a procession from Titu Milonayaton area of the District on June 9 evening, protesting ICT-2 verdict that jailed three of their leaders for contempt of court.

Four persons including two Policemen were injured in Sirajganj District during a countrywide hartal enforced by JeI-ICS. In a sudden attack, two crude bombs were hurled at the on-duty Policemen at Bakua in Ullapara sub-District of the District. Two Policemen were injured in the bomb attack. Police fired rubber bullets to break up the mob in which two ICS cadres were wounded.

At least two people, including a Policeman, were injured at Hamsyapur under Sherpur sub-District in Bogra District in a clash between Police and JeI-ICS cadres during JeI-ICS called half day hartal. The injured persons were identified as SI Golam Mostofa of Sherpur Police Station and Muhamad Abdul Barek, an active cadre of JeI-ICS's local unit. Police arrested four JeI-ICS cadres from the spot. The arrestees were identified as Sajahan Ali (52), Abdur Rahman (53), Siraj Uddin (55) and the injured Abdul Barek.

Incidents of intimidation took place in JeI and ICS dominated areas of Rajshahi City Corporation in Rajshahi District, sending a sense of insecurity among voters, especially Hindus. Around 10-12 JeI-ICS cadres threatened 30 Hindu women with dire consequences if JeI backed mayoral candidate Mosaddek Hossain Bulbul is defeated in the area.

About 300 leaders and cadres of ICS entered the RU campus in Rajshahi District in a show of their strength, spreading panic on the campus. The ICS cadres entered the campus about three and a half years after they were ousted from the campus following clashes with BCL that killed BCL activist Faruk Hossain on February 8 in 2010.

A local leader of ICS was killed by some miscreants in Puran Munsefi residential area of Habiganj District. The deceased was identified as Mahibur Rahman Chowdhury (38), vice-president of Ward no 9 ICS unit of Habiganj Municipality.

JeI-ICS cadres snatched an arrested leader of the party from law enforcers after injuring five Policemen, including an ASP, in Kaliganj sub-District of Satkhira District. As the news of Sirajul Islam's arrest spread, a huge number of JeI-ICS cadres encircled the Police team and snatched Sirajul away from the Police team leaving five Policemen, including ASP M Tajul Islam, injured. Later, Police arrested ICS cadre Tohidul Islam from the area.

Four people, including three Policemen, were injured during a gunfight between Police and JeI-ICS cadres in Satkania sub-District of Chittagong District. Iqbal, a farmer sustained bullet injury during the gunfight while Sub-Inspector Kazi Shafiqul Islam, Constables Abdul Mannan and Muhamad Belayet were injured in the scuffle. After the gunfight Police arrested five JeI-ICS cadres and recovered three arms, two machetes and a knife from the spot. The arrestees are Muhamad Nasir (45), Chhagir Ahmed (23), Muhamad Arif (22), Abu Sufian (22) and Muhamad Iqbal (32).

At least seven people were injured in a clash between the activists of BCL and cadres of ICS at Lakshmipur Polytechnic Institute in Lakshmipur District. Police said the clash ensued when a group of BCL activists obstructed ICS cadres from bringing out a procession on the campus.

ICS declared to enforce a daylong hartal in three Districts on June 27 demanding release of two of its RU unit leaders who were arrested two days ago in Dhaka city. The shutdown will be observed in Rajshahi, Natore and Chapainawabganj Districts, says a press release of RU unit ICS.

Three people were injured in a bomb attack on the house of a local AL leader at Kuchpukur village in Satkhira District allegedly by cadres of JeI-ICS. Nazrul Islam, organising secretary of Satkhira union AL, said a group of 8-10 JeI-ICS cadres riding on four motorcycles hurled 15-20 homemade bombs at his house. He said both the legs of his brother-in-law Jahan Ali and a hand of his sister Shahida were blown off in the bomb attack while he himself were injured in the attack.

Comilla District unit of ICS enforced a half-day general strike in the District protesting against the death of a Feni Government College unit ICS cadre allegedly after being beaten up by some activists of BCL at Kulasa village.

Cadres of ICS killed two leaders of Sylhet Engineering College unit of BCL in Sylhet District. The victims were identified as Saurav Hasan Himel, SEC unit BCL general secretary, and Nirmal Pal, organising secretary.

Police arrested two Chittagong city unit ICS leaders from Chittagong District while they were trying to bring out a procession after Jumma prayers without taking any prior permission from Police. The arrestees were Monzurul Alam, a leader of south city branch of ICS and Kafil Uddin, another leader of the unit.

ICS announced that it will enforce a nationwide dawn-to-dusk hartal for July 3 demanding the unconditional release of its Central President Delwar Hossain which was arrested from his sister's house in the Dhaka city's Shyamoli on March 31 for his alleged involvement in an explosion of crude hand-bombs on Mirpur Road in the capital on February 28.

Eight Policemen were injured as ICS cadres hurled 15 handmade bombs at them at Chapainawabganj Government College campus in Chapainawabganj District. The injured cops include Officer-in-Charge (OC) Bazlur Rashid, Sub-Inspectors Rawshan Kabir, Abu Sayed, Monir, and Dulal, Assistant Sub-Inspector Mukul, and Constables Khairul Basher and Abu Bakkar.

In Comilla District, at least 10 people were injured during a clash between Police and ICS cadres in the Comilla city. The clash ensued when Police intercepted a procession in the city. Police charged batons and fired rubber bullets, leaving 10 ICS cadres injured. Later, Police arrested four ICS cadres from the area.

At least 12 people, including two Policemen, were injured in Dhaka city during a 24-hour nationwide hartal called by the ICS. ICS enforced the hartal to demand to know the whereabouts of its missing leaders, their appearance in court and the release of national leaders, including central president Delwar Hossain. The picketers exploded over a dozen homemade bombs. Police arrested one ICS cadre in this connection.

In Rangpur District, ICS cadres exploded 20 homemade bombs in Rangpur city. They also damaged two trucks, one bus and 10 battery-driven auto-rickshaws in the city. Police arrested five ICS cadres for the acts of vandalism and blasts.

Comilla District

Police arrested JeI ameer (chief) of Barura Sub-District, Dewan Nazrul Islam, at Barura Bazar in Comilla District. Police said Nazrul was arrested on charge of vandalising vehicles in the area during recent nationwide hartals by JeI-ICS.

Sirajganj District

Nine cadres of JeI-ICS were arrested in Sirajganj District in a case for carrying out subversive activities and obstructing law enforcers from performing their duties.

Nilphamari District

At least 30 people were injured as cadres of ICS clashed with ruling party AL activists at Kaliganj Bazar in Nilphamari District. The ICS cadres set fire to the Kaliganj Bazaar, causing burn injuries to at least 30 people and burning down 15 shops.

Cox's Bazar District

Cox's Bazar Government College authority suspended three ICS leaders, one permanently and another two for three months in Cox's Bazar District. They were involved in May 27, 2013 violence in which an activist of BCL was attacked by them on the college campus. The suspended were identified as Zia ul Hasan, 'secretary' of CGC ICS, Emdad Ullah and Jahedul Karim.

Moulvibazar District

Police arrested a local ICS leader in Bramonbazar road area of the Moulvibazar District. The arrestee, identified as Mizanur Rahman (29), is 'general secretary' of Bramonbazar union unit of ICS. Police said Mizanur was arrested on charge of planning subversive activities in the area.

Comilla District

Police arrested two ICS cadres from a procession in Paduar Bazaar Biswa Road area of Comilla District. ICS cadres brought out the procession in favour of the countrywide dawn-to-dusk hartal called by JeI for July 15. The arrestees were identified as Shahidul Islam and Abul Khair.

Dhaka city

At least 15 people including seven photojournalists and television cameramen were injured when cadres of JeI-ICS clashed with law enforcers at Jatrabari of Dhaka city during a daylong hartal.

Satkhira District

A local leader of the ruling AL was beaten to death by JeI and ICS cadres in Satkhira District as JeI-ICS enforced a daylong countrywide hartal.

Chapainawabganj District

A JeI cadre and an ICS cadre were shot dead during a clash with the law enforcers in Chapainawabganj District as JeI-ICS enforced a daylong countrywide hartal.

Kushtia District

Two ICS cadres were lynched by villagers in Kushtia District as JeI-ICS enforced a daylong countrywide hartal.

Satkhira District

In Satkhira District, two cadres of JeI-ICS were killed when Police opened fire on them after the law enforcers were attacked by the cadres in Kaliganj sub-District. Nine Policemen and three JeI-ICS cadres also sustained injuries during the clash. The deceased were identified as Sharifuzzaman (15) and Ruhul Amin Gazi (35).

Gazipur District

In Gazipur District, a child was run over by a bus while she was running in fear as cadres of JeI-ICS set fire to another bus in front of Chandana Police Box at Chowrasta town. The victim is identified as Nadia Sultana (9), the daughter of Saidul Islam. The bus driver was also injured.

Dinajpur District

In Dinajpur District, a bus driver was killed as JeI-ICS cadres pelted brick chips on him at Chirirbandar sub-District. The deceased was Abdul Kuddus (60).

Gazipur District

Police and RAB arrested eight cadres of JeI-ICS in Gazipur city of Gazipur District in a case filed over the violence during JeI-enforced hartal on July 16. The arrestees were identified as Shohel Rana, Asaduzzaman, Mahmudul Hasan, Abul Hasem Khan, Nasrullah, Jamal Uddin, Nazmunnahar and Kamruzaman. Of them, Hashem is the District 'ameer' (chief) and Jamal is 'assistant secretary'.

Satkhira District

Police filed a case against 1,500 cadres of JeI-ICS in Satkhira District on charge of attacking Police during July 16's hartal. However, none was arrested in this connection. On July 16, JeI-ICS cadres traded shots with law enforcers, which left their two cadres dead and over 50 people, including nine Policemen, injured.

Dhaka city

In Dhaka city, JeI-ICS hartal supporters exploded five homemade bombs. Vehicular movement on the city streets was almost normal but no long-route buses left or entered the city. Law enforcers took position at the important points and were patrolling the city streets to fend off any possible trouble by hartal supporters.

Sirajganj District Court rejected bail prayers of 49 JeI-ICS cadres and sent them to prison in a case related to vandalisation of the Awami League AL office at Enayetpur town (Sirajganj District) on March 3.

At least five persons, including two Policemen, were injured in a clash between JeI-ICS cadres and the law enforcers in the Noakhali town of Noakhali District.

A Policeman was injured and two Police vehicles were vandalised in an attack by ICS cadres at Ranibazar in the Rajshahi city of Rajshahi District.

Police arrested 10 cadres of ICS from the Mirpur area of Dhaka city (Dhaka District) after they hurled brickbats at law enforcers during their procession. The ICS cadres brought out the procession near Mirpur bus stand as part of their fresh agitation programmes.

In Dhaka city, around 70 JeI-ICS cadres brought out a sudden procession and vandalised a private car and a bus near Kamalapur Railway Station.

In Pabna District, several hundred JeI-ICS cadres damaged several vehicles barricading Dhaka-Pabna highway.

In Bogra District, JeI-ICS cadres set a bus on fire in Jhopgari area and vandalised several vehicles, including a BRTC bus.

In Satkhira District, the JeI-ICS cadre vandalised a truck and a pickup on the outskirts of Satkhira city.

Chittagong District

Two JeI-ICS cadres were killed when JeI cadres clashed with Police and AL workers at Baro Dargarhat town in the Sitakunda sub-District of Chittagong District. The deceased were identified as Abdullah Al Rasel (30) and Parvez (28). As the news of killing spread around, JeI-ICS cadres took to the streets and blocked the busy Dhaka-Chittagong Highway. They also vandalised 12-14 vehicles and set ablaze seven others on the highway. Police opened fire on the JeI-ICS cadres leaving eight of them injured. Two Policemen were also injured in the clashes.

Comilla District

Five ICS cadres and two Policemen were injured in a clash at Nangalkot sub-District in the Comilla District. The clash erupted when a patrol team of the Police came under the attack by the ICS cadres in the Eidgah Maidan area of Nangalkot sub-District.

At least 50 people, including 10 Policemen, were injured as JeI-ICS cadres clashed with Police at Garadob Bazar of Meherpur District. Police arrested four JeI-ICS cadres from the spot.

A cadre of ICS was killed when Police chased them during picketing at Jatrabari area in Dhaka city (Dhaka District). The identity of the ICS cadre could not be known immediately. A cameraman of private television channel Banglavision also sustained injuries during the incident.

In Chapainawabganj District, Police filed charges against 77 JeI-ICS cadres on charge of attack on law enforcers in the Balubagan area of Chapainawabganj town during JeI-ICS-enforced hartal.

In Cox's Bazar District, Police filed a case against 50 JeI-ICS cadres on charge of causing a jeep crash on Chittagong-Cox's Bazar highway.

A leader of JSL, a national trade union federation, who was injured in a JeI-ICS attack, during the JeI-enforced 48-hour hartal (general strike), in the Debhata sub-District of Satkhira District, succumbed to his injuries. The deceased was identified as Sheikh Alamgir Hossain (48). He was vice president of the Debhata unit of JSL.

RAB personnel arrested two JeI-ICS cadres and seized BDT 200,000 from Dhaka city's Mirpur area. The arrestees were identified as Abdur Rahman (52) and his son Arifur Rahman (22). RAB said that the both were managing funds from Kuwait and transferring it to central ICS leaders to create unrest in the country over war crimes trial and other issues.

A cadre of the JeI-ICS was killed and two others were injured in a blast while making bombs at a house in the Companyganj sub-District of Noakhali District. The deceased was identified as Ismail Hossain Sumon (28). Police arrested two other cadres Samsuddin Manik (22) and Jamal Uddin (32) in this connection.

At least three Policemen and a media person were injured in violence unleashed by the JeI-ICS cadres' at Badurtala in Chittagong District. Police fired 18 shots in the air to disperse the crowd. The JeI-ICS cadres fled the area exploding seven homemade bombs. Police arrested 61 JeI-ICS cadres after the incident.

Police arrested 10 JeI-ICS leaders from Dhaka city (Dhaka District) on charge of planning subversive activities. Police also seized a huge number of anti-Government documents, leaflets and booklets from them. Police said the seized documents reveal that they were planning to commit further sabotage in the capital.

On August 18, three Policemen were injured when JeI-ICS cadres attacked a Police pick-up van and hurled brick chips at it.

By 1996, he was operating out of Dhaka city in close association with ICS. He used his and the ICS's contacts to send several LeT operatives to India who were to set up cells outside of Jammu and Kashmir.

A local journalist was injured in an attack carried out by the cadres of JeI-ICS at Maniknagar village in the Satkhira District. The victim was, identified as Abdur Rahman (46), a correspondent of Dainik Sangbad.

Farrooque was brutally killed by cadres of the JeI and its student wing ICS on March 3, 2013.

The Police arrested 20 cadres of JeI-ICS for their alleged involvement in the attack on Rajshahi University unit secretary Touhid-al-Tuhin of BCL, the student wing of AL, on August 22.

Police arrested four cadres of JeI-ICS in Sitakunda sub-Dsitrict of Chittagong Dsitrict. Police arrested Muhamad Mohiuddin (24), Hazi Humayun Kabir (55), Jewel Rana (22) and Muhamad Sohel (20) in connection with torching an auto-rickshaw and vandalising several other vehicles on Dhaka-Chittagong Highway on August 22.

Police arrested a leader of the ICS, the student wing of JeI, who allegedly planned almost all ICS-sponsored criminal activities in Rajshahi District over the last one year. The arrestee, Abdullah Al Masum (22), is 'assistant general secretary' of ICS's Rajshahi city unit and is also 'operations commander' in the city.

Police arrested seven cadres of ICS from a students' mess in Rangpur District's Lalbag area. Law enforcers also seized leaflets and books on 'jihad' and CDs from the mess.

JeI-ICS cadres exploded seven homemade bombs and hurled brick chips when Police tried to disperse their procession protesting the Government decision to bar war crimes convicts from being registered as voters at Elephant Road in Dhaka city. Police arrested seven JeI-ICS cadres from the area.

Six cadres and a supporter of ICS were injured in an attack allegedly by activists of Juba League, the youth wing of ruling AL at Nabharon Bazar in Benapole town of Jessore District. Juba League men attacked a procession of ICS cadres with rods and machetes and exploded some bombs, leaving them injured. Police recovered a bomb and some of the weapons from the spot.

A case was filed against 50 cadres of JeI-ICS following a clash between the cadres of JeI-ICS and BCL, the student front of the AL in Jessore District on September 5.

At least 40 people were injured in a fierce fighting between activists of the BCL and JCD backed by ICS on the Islamic University campus in Kushtia District. More than 60 rounds of shot were fired and 40 handmade bombs were exploded during the fighting.

In Rajshahi District, 12 ICS cadres were injured as they clashed with Police in the Rajshahi city when Police tried to foil a procession brought out by them.

Moulvibazar District

In Moulvibazar District, 10 ICS cadres were injured in a clash between Police and ICS cadres at New Market Golchattar when Police obstructed a procession brought out by ICS cadres demanding the release of their central leaders.

Around 20 to 25 ICS cadres brought out a procession from in Dhaka city's Mohakhali area demanding immediate release of its leaders. Soon after they brought out the procession, the law enforcers chased and dispersed the ICS cadres. No one was injured in the incident.

Police arrested Monwar Hossain, vice president of ICS of Carmichael College unit and recovered huge numbers of jihadi (Islamic uprising) books and provocative leaflets from a student mess in Rangpur city of Rangpur District.

Police arrested 29 cadres of ICS suspected of severely injuring a leader of Carmichael College unit BCL in Rangpur District.

Bagerhat District

Police arrested 40 cadres of JeI-ICS while holding a secret meeting at Rajoir village in Bagerhat District. Police said that the arrested were planning to carry out subversive activities in the meeting and recovered eight diaries, a digital camera and huge amounts of leaflets.

Jhenidah District

Police arrested two cadres of JeI-ICS in Harianakundu sub-District of Jhenidah District on charge of killing a Policeman. The arrestees are identified as Abdul Wahab and Mahtab Uddin. On March 3, Constable Gazi Omar Farooque was stabbed to death by JeI-ICS cadres during violence in the Harianakundu sub-District.

Jhenidah District

Police arrested an ICS leader at a mess in Kalahat area of Kaliganj town in Jhenidah District on charge of committing criminal activities. The arrestee is Ariz Hossain (21), secretary of Kaliganj unit ICS.

Natore District

In Natore District, 25 JeI-ICS cadres were injured when Police resisted JeI-ICS cadres’ procession in the Natore town’s madrasa intersection. Around 150-200 JeI-ICS cadres brought out a procession from Horishpur Bypass area and marched towards the intersection. Facing Police resistance, the agitated JeI-ICS cadres threw brick chips at the law enforcers, leading to the clash.

Chittagong District

In Chittagong District, two Policemen sustained injuries as JeI-ICS cadres set fire to their van during a clash in Jubilee road of Chittagong city. They also exploded several crude bombs during the incident.

In Bogra District, two Policemen were injured when a group of five to six JeI-ICS cadres blasted three handmade bombs in front of Sadar Police Station at Kathaltola area of Bogra town.

In Dhaka city, the JeI-ICS cadres brought out brisk processions, blasted a crude bomb and tried to vandalise vehicles. A CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver Shamsul Haque (55) was injured.

An auto-rickshaw driver, Nasiruddin (40), was killed at southeastern Noakhali District when JeI-ICS cadres pelted stones at him for defying the hartal (general strike).

In Chittagong District, a Police Constable Iqbal Hossain (23) was injured as JeI-ICS cadres attacked him while he was patrolling in Jote Pukuria Bazar area

Satkhira District

In Satkhira District, five JeI-ICS cadres were injured as the Police and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel fired gunshots and teargas shells to disperse pickets when several hundred JeI-ICS cadres tried to block the Jessore-Satkhira Highway at Kadamtola area. Law enforcers also arrested four JeI-ICS cadres.

In Sylhet District, Police arrested 20 ICS cadres when they brought out processions at several places in the District.

Dhaka city

RAB arrested 11 ICS cadres along with bomb making materials and jihadi (religious uprising) books while they were planning to commit subversive activities at Madhyo Paikpara in Dhaka city’s Mirpur area.

Meherpur District

A JeI cadre was killed and at least 30 persons, including five Policemen, were injured as the JeI-ICS cadres clashed with law enforcers in the Mujibnagar sub-District of Meherpur District. The clash ensued when JeI-ICS tried to block a road at Gouripur area.

Sirajganj District

JeI-ICS cadres attacked a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Chondidasgati village in Sirajganj District, killing one of its passengers Masud Hossai (27) and injuring another Shah Alam (38).

Bogra District

In Bogra District, Shamsul Islam (55), a truck driver suffered burn injuries when a group of 15-20 JeI-ICS cadres stopped the truck in Sherpur area and lobbed a petrol bomb at the truck. The truck’s helper Muhamad Shahin was also injured in the incident.

Gazipur District

In Gazipur District, JeI-ICS cadres got into a bus in the guise of passengers and poured flammable objects on driver Nazrul Islam Bhuiyan (35) and set him ablaze leaving him injured critically when the bus reached Bogra bypass area.

Comilla District

In Comilla District, JeI-ICS cadres also set fire to a truck at Chouddagram area leaving its driver Sekandar Bepari (42) critically injured. The truck was carrying electrical goods to Chittagong from Dhaka.

Rajshahi District

Five activists, including four of the BCL, the student front of the AL and one of JCD, the student wing of the BNP, were injured following a knife attack by ICS cadres in the Mirjapur area of Rajshahi District.

Police filed a case against 280 leaders and cadres of JeI-ICS on charges of attacking Police and obstructing them from performing their duties during JeI-ICS-enforced hartal (general strike) in Comilla District on September 18.

Sirajganj District

Thirty-four cadres of JeI-ICS were sued for killing an auto-rickshaw passenger in Raiganj sub-District of Sirajganj District. JeI-ICS cadres beat Muhamad Masud Hossain (27) to death when he was going to the District town by an auto-rickshaw.

25 cadres of JeI-ICS were arrested in connection with the attack on two ruling party AL men in Debhata sub-District of Satkhira District. On September 18 JeI-ICS cadres swooped on two AL men — Muhamad Akimuddin and Muhamad Nasim Uddin — while they were returning home from Bhalshala Bazar leaving them seriously injured.

A leader of BCL was stabbed and a former activist of the organisation shot in an attack by cadres of ICS at Dharampur area in Rajshahi city of Rajshahi District. The injured persons are identified as Shariful Islam Saddam (25), organising secretary of BCL Rajshahi University (RU) unit, and Golam Rabbani Tufan (35), a former activist of the organisation's city unit.

ICS cadres allegedly stabbed SUST unit leader of BCL in Sylhet District leaving him injured seriously. The victim was identified as Anjan Kumar Roy, a fourth year student of economics department and vice-president of BCL university unit.

Police arrested five cadres of ICS at RU in Rajshahi District over October 8's attack allegedly by the ICS cadres on a RU unit leader and a former activist of BCL in Rajshahi city. The arrestees are identified as Abdullah, Ariful Islam, Monirul Islam, Shanto Islam and Muhamad Sujon.

In Chuadanga District, ICS cadres attacked a puja mandap in Darshana bus stand area breaking the electric lights around it and vandalising a platform designated for guests. ICS cadre Rafiqul Islam (23), a student of Badarganj Baqi Billah Madrasa, was killed when Police fired on the marauding cadres to drive them away from the Carew Sarbajanin Puja Mandap and stop them from attacking Police.

In Rajshahi District, ICS cadres clashed with Police from a procession at Rajshahi city's Aloka intersection. Police fired nearly 40 rubber bullets and several tear-shell canisters to disperse the ICS cadres leaving at least 10 people injured.

In Comilla District, ICS cadres exploded homemade bombs and vandalised one Police van and one minibus in Chawkbazar area. At least three Policemen were injured in clash with ICS cadres.

In Dhaka city, ICS cadres explode three homemade bombs in front of the ACB Colony in Motijheel area after bringing out a brisk procession. Law enforcers arrested five ICS cadres from the area. ICS cadres brought out another brisk procession near BRAC University in Mohakhali area and vandalised several vehicles. Two ICS cadres were arrested from the spot.

Nurun Nabi, a cadre of ICS injured on October 7 bomb explosions at Al Jamiatul Ulum Al Islamia Madrasa in the Lal Khan Bazar area of Chittagong District succumbed to his injuries at DMCH in Dhaka city. Nurun Nabi was among the seven who were wounded in the blast.

An activist of Jubo League, the youth wing of AL was hacked allegedly by cadres of ICS, the student front of JeI in Sylhet city of Sylhet District. The injured, Kabir Hossain, received cuts in the back and legs.

Police arrested 10 cadres of JeI-ICS from different sub-Districts Satkhira District on charges of killing a leader of BCL and creating violence. Police said that they arrested the cadres in a case filed for killing BCL leader Mamun in an attack allegedly by JeI-ICS cadres on February 28 this year.

Chittagong District

A cadre of ICS was injured in explosion while making bombs at a Quran learning centre in Mirsarai sub-District of Chittagong District. Police said that at least 15 to 20 bombs were exploded and ICS cadre Alamgir (24) was injured as the bombs went off at Talimul Quran Academy. Alamgir had managed to flee but they had arrested Alamgir's younger brother Muktar Hossain in this connection from their house adjacent to the academy. The two brothers are actively involved in the politics of ICS. Police also recovered bomb-making materials from the house.

Nilphamari District

In Nilphamari District, a cadre of ICS was killed at Jaldhaka sub-District when they clashed with the Police who obstructed their procession. The deceased was identified as Moslem Uddin. Later, the ICS cadres burnt a bus and vandalised business establishments in the area.

Rajshahi District

In Rajshahi District, Rashedul Islam (30), treasurer of Motihar unit of ICS was killed and over 30 people including seven Policemen and a ward councillor were injured as BNP, JeI and ICS cadres clashed with Police and hurled around 15 homemade bombs in Rajshahi city.

Noakhali District

In Noakhali District, Police arrested 17 ICS cadres and two activists of JCD, the student wing of BNP for allegedly setting fire to a local AL office, which left 50 injured, including 15 Policemen and at least 10 shops burnt down and in Sudharam.

Lalmonirhat District

In Lalmonirhat District, two shops and houses of AL men were allegedly vandalised and looted by JeI-ICS cadres, which left three AL activists critically injured.

Cox's Bazar District

In Cox's Bazar District, three cadres of JeI-ICS were killed in clash with Police after the JeI-ICS cadres brought out a procession and fired at Police without any provocation at South Dhurong Bazar. The deceased were identified as Mohammad Yunus (20), Abu Bakkar Siddique (65) and Ismail Parvez (35). The fight also left 10 JeI-ICS cadres and seven Policemen injured.

A Police officer and a nine-year old girl were injured in separate incidents of bomb blasts in Dhaka city. Kazi Mainul Islam, OC of Hazaribagh Police Station was injured after the cadres of ICS exploded a crude bomb at Dhaka city's Dhanmondi area. On the other hand, Rahima Aktar sustained severe splinter injuries in her eyes and different parts of body when a homemade bomb went off while she was playing in Balurmath area.

Lalmonirhat District

Police arrested a JeI cadre on charge of vandalizing and looting Hindu people's shops at Shafinagar Bazar village in Lalmonirhat District. The arrestee is identified as Abdus Samad (47). Police said that a group of BNP and JeI-ICS men vandalised and looted at least 18 shops of Hindus in the remote area on October 27.

Unidentified assailants armed with sharp weapons cut the tendons of an activist of Jubo League in Akhalia area of Sylhet city in Sylhet District. The injured person is identified as Dulal Ahmed (30). Police arrested two cadres of ICS - Saidur Rahman and Shahin Ahmed - on suspicion.

Chittagong District

JeI-ICS cadres exploded six crude bombs in Rahattarpol area of Chittagong city in Chittagong District. Witnesses said around 40 youths brought out a flash procession from KB Aman Ali road chanting anti-Government and anti-international crimes tribunal slogans. When Police rushed to the spot, the demonstrators exploded the bombs.

Lalmonirhat District

14 BNP and JeI-ICS cadres were arrested Lalmonirhat District on charge of resorting to violence during 60 hour countrywide hartal enforced by BNP-led 18-party alliance. Police filed 11 cases with five Police stations in the District, accusing over 400 BNP and JeI-ICS cadres of their alleged involvement in violent activities during the non-stop 60-hour hartal.

Eight cadres of ICS were injured in a clash with Police in Sitakunda sub-District of Chittagong District. The ICS cadres staged a demonstration against the arrest of their fellows blocking the busy Dhaka-Chittagong highway. Police arrested 19 ICS cadres in connection with violence.

Police arrested three ICS cadres and recovered bomb-making materials and around 20 litres of petrol during a raid at their flat in Dhaka city's Shekhertek area. The arrestees are Anwar Hossain, Mohammad Ajgar and Humayun Kabir. They are students of a private university in the capital.

Police arrested four cadres of ICS in Adabor of Dhaka city. Police recovered huge bomb making materials, 15 litres of petrol, and jihadi books from them.

Police arrested eight cadres of JeI-ICS in Sitakunda sub-District of Chittagong District over vandalising and torching vehicles. The arrestees are Mohammed Jahangir (26), Saddam Hossain (28), Tarek Hasan (18), Sabbir (18), Joynal Abedin (18), Kurban Ali (26), Mohammed Ali (43) and Mohammed Yousuf Uddin (30).

In Jhenidah District, cadres of ICS vandalised seven vehicles during a chase and counter chase between and Police at Hamdah bus stand in the Jhenidah town. Five ICS cadres were injured during the incident.

A leader of BCL was killed by unidentified criminals in Lohagara sub-District of Chittagong District. The deceased, Mahbubur Rahman Bappi (24), was the president of BCL unit of Bar Awlia Degre College in Lohagara. Locals and BCL activists claimed Bappi had a brawl with cadres of ICS on November 9.

RAB arrested an alleged ICS cadre for posting, sharing and tagging on his Facebook page derogatory photos and remarks about Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and other top ministers and Government officers. Mohammed Nournabi Shujon (32) was arrested at a house in East Khilbarirtek under Bhatara Police Station in Dhaka city.

At least 15 people including three Policemen were injured in a clash between cadres of JeI-ICS and Police at East area of Bangabandhu bridge in Tangail District in the 84-hour hartal enforced by BNP-led 18-party alliance. The clash took place when JeI-ICS cadres took position in the area and blocked Bhuiyanpur-Bangabandhu road burning tyres. The JeI-ICS cadres hurled brick chips when Police tried to disperse them.

A union level leader of AL was injured in an attack allegedly by JeI-ICS cadres in Banshkhali sub-District of Chittagong District. Sajjad Hossain Masud, convener of Shekher Khil union of AL of the sub-District, came under the attack while he was passing through Chambal Bazar by his motorcycle.

Police arrested three ICS cadres when they were vandalizing AL office at Srinadi village of Noakhali District. The arrestees were identified as Repon (22), Saifur Rahman Johi (30) and Iqbal Hossain (26). Police recovered one pipe gun, one steel chapatti and other weapons from them.

Two union level leaders of AL were beaten up by cadres of JeI-ICS in Rangunia sub-District of Chittagong District. The victims are Shamsul Alam (50) and Mir Golam Mostafa Babul (45), president and general secretary of Lalanagar union AL under Rangunia sub-District.

Police arrested seven JeI-ICS cadres from Pathailkandi village in Tangail District. The arrestees are identified as Abdur Razzak, Rafiqul Islam, Abdur Razzak, Abdur Rahim Khan, Eskander Ali, Rejaul Karim and Solaiman Miah.

Police arrested a cadre of ICS in BCL leader Mahbubur Rahman Bappi Murder case in Lohagara sub-District of Chittagong District. The arrestee was identified as Arif Hossain (25). Mahbubur Rahman Bappi, president of BCL Bar Awlia Degree College unit, was hacked to death by ICS cadres on November 10.

A former leader of BCL of Rajshahi University was killed allegedly by the cadres of ICS in Sadullapur sub-District of Gaibandha District. Khalilur Rahman Mamun, former BCL president of Shah Makhdum hall at Rajshahi University was attacked and hacked indiscriminately by a group of ICS cadres armed with different sharp weapons as he was inside a saloon, leaving him critically injured. He succumbed to his injuries on way to Hospital.

Cadres of JeI-ICS went on a rampage in Dhaka city, exploding at least 50 crude bombs and vandalizing 20 vehicles. The cadres fled the spot before the Police reached there. Police said JeI-ICS cadres demonstrated as the EC had recently announced that the Islamist party cannot take part in the general election in line with a high court verdict.

In Khulna District, 10 cadres of JeI-ICS were arrested in Paikgachha and Dighalia sub-Districts. Six of them were arrested from Paikgachha sub-District while four from Dighalia sub-District.

Five persons were injured when activists of BCL clashed with the cadres of ICS in Chittagong University campus of Chittagong District over distribution of leaflets among the admission seekers. Witnesses said a group of BCL activists attacked some ICS cadres at BBA faculty as they were distributing leaflets among the admission seekers. Following the incident chase and counter chase took place between the two groups.

An ICS cadre, who sustained bullet wounds in a clash with Police during a countrywide hartal on October 28, succumbed to his injuries at a hospital in Dhaka city. The deceased was identified as Mahmudul Hasan (18).

The cadres of JeI-ICS went on the rampage as Police foiled their procession in Dhaka city's Badda area. Police said as part of their scheduled countrywide demonstration programme, the JeI-ICS cadres brought out a procession in the area. Police arrested two JeI-ICS cadres from the spot.

Pirojpur District

Cadres of JeI-ICS severed tendons of three activists of Jubo League at Zianagar sub-District under the Pirojpur District. The victims are identified as Bahadur Khan (32), president of Jubo League unit of ward No 3 union, its vice president Akman Sarder (35), and activist Emran (22).

In Satkhira District, Rabiul Islam (35) general secretary of Swechhasebok League, the volunteer wing of AL was hacked to death by JeI-ICS cadres at Diara Bazar.

Comilla District

In Comilla District, a rickshaw-puller Babul Mia (45) was killed and 26 others were injured in a clash in Laksham sub-District. The clash erupted when nearly 100 activists of BNP, JeI and ICS were trying to block Comilla-Noakhali road and Police resisted them. Babul was killed when one of the bullets fired by the party men hit him.

Rajshahi District

In Rajshahi District, around 600 activists of BNP, JeI and ICS brought out a procession in the Rajshahi city. Around 20 opposition men including the city Mayor Mosaddek Hossain Bulbul sustained rubber bullet injuries during a clash with Police. Police arrested 12 activists of BNP, JeI and ICS from the spot.

Jessore District

JeI-ICS cadres severed tendons of hands and legs of a local activist of Jubo League in Sadar sub-District of Jessore District. The victim is Nazmul Islam (30), organising secretary of Ramnagar union Jubo League under the Sadar sub-District.

Lalmonirhat District

12 people were injured as cadres of JeI-ICS vandalized and looted at least five shops and two houses at Ghoshpara village of Lalmonirhat District. Police said that about 200 to 250 JeI-ICS cadres led by Patgram sub-District unit ICS president Rana Islam made a sudden attack on the shops and houses from a procession.

Jhenidah District

In Jhenidah District, Israfil Hossain (25), a cadre of ICS was killed during a clash with Police in Kotchandpur bus stand area. Five others were also injured in the incident.

Satkhira District

A journalist received severe head injuries when cadres of JeI-ICS kidnapped and beat him up severely in Satkhira District. The victim Yarob Hossain (40) is a local correspondent of Bangla daily Manabzamin, and also the joint secretary of Satkhira Press Club.

Two people were killed and two others sustained burn injuries in blockade violence in Chittagong District. Of the dead victims, one was a covered van driver Mahbub Alam (23), while another was a cadre of ICS.

A cadre of ICS was killed and five other people were injured in a clash with Police and BGB members at Sakhipur intersection in Satkhira District. The deceased was identified as Hossain Ali (19).

In Satkhira District, Arizul Islam (16), a cadre of JeI-ICS died on the spot when law enforcers opened fire at the opposition activists in Garanbaria area of the District. Around 20 cadres of JeI-ICS were injured in the clashes with Police.

In Satkhira District, cadres of JeI-ICS beat an activist of Jubo League to death at Talbaira area. The victim is identified as Giasuddin (30). Another Jubo League activist, Nazmul Haque, was injured in the incident.

An elderly freedom fighter, which was injured in an attack allegedly by the cadres of JeI-ICS at Bhara-Simulia village in Satkhira District on December 3, died a health complex. The deceased was identified as Alauddin Khokon (65).

12 people including three Policemen were injured in a clash with JeI-ICS cadres in Lalmonirhat District. The cadres of JeI-ICS besieged a team of 12 Policemen when the law enforcers went there to nab JeI leader Shahidul Islam at Kafir Bazar area. At one stage the JeI-ICS cadres swooped on the Police and vandalized their van, forcing the law enforcers to fire several rounds of rubber bullets, leaving at least 12 people including three Policemen injured.

In Chittagong District, rickshaw puller Mafizur Rahman (50) succumbed to bullet wounds at Chittagong Medical College Hospital, two days after he was injured in a clash in Feni District. Mafizur received bullet injuries when Police clashed with cadres of ICS in Feni town of Feni District on December 2.

An activist of AL was killed allegedly by ICS cadres in Satkhira Sadar sub-District of Satkhira District. The victim Sirajul Islam (53) was shot by ICS gunmen at his house in Kachupukur village. He died on the spot, said Police. They also injured Kawsar Ali (58), sister-in-law of Sirajul, and Kawsar's son Shimul Hossain (20), at that time.

A leader of BCL of HSTU unit was injured in an attack by criminals in Kaharol sub-District of Dinajpur District. The victim was identified as Arun Kanti Roy, general secretary of BCL of HSTU unit. Iftekharul Islam, President of BCL of HSTU unit, blamed JeI-ICS for the attack.

In Meherpur District, the opposition activists went on the rampage at Gangni sub-Disrtrict leaving a Policeman and two local journalists injured. Police said around 2,000 BNP and JeI-ICS activists brought out a procession from Shishirpara area. The activists exploded 10 crude bombs at the Gangni sub-Disrtrict election office and vandalised the office.

An AL activist was killed by an unidentified gang at Aamtala village under Sadar sub-District of Satkhira District. The deceased, Ezhar Ali Morol (55), was a member of Bali union unit of AL. Babar Ali Morol, brother to the victim, said their rivals, who are involved with JeI-ICS politics, took the advantage of the ongoing political turmoil and killed his brother.

In Sirajganj District, a boy was killed by stray bullets and 10 others were injured as cadres of JeI-ICS fought with law enforcers.  The deceased is identified as Sumon Hossain (12). He was returning home from a salon.

The deceased Ziauddin Zakaria Babu (45), a lecturer of Sherpur Degree College was the joint convener of Bogra district unit of Sector Commanders’ Forum, and one of the organisers of Gonojagoron Mancha in the District. Police arrested five people - Mizanur Rahman, Abdul Kafi, Ishak Ali, Hanif and Kaium - for questioning.

The attack on the motorcade triggered a clash between JeI-ICS cadres and AL activists near Ramganj Bazar leaving five AL acvtivists killed in the clash. The victims are Khorshed Chowdhury (50), Farhad Hossain (35), Lebu (30), Murad Hossain (35) and Abu Bakar Siddique (45). At least 50 people, mostly AL activists, were injured in the clash.

In Chittagong District, JeI-ICS Cadres brought out a flash procession in Khatiber Bari area and hurled two crude bombs targeting a Police van. Police arrested an ICS cadre, Forkan, in this connection.

ICS cadres cut the tendons of both legs and the left hand of a BCL leader in Rajshahi city of Rajshahi District. The victim, Shimul Ahmed Duke (20), is a joint convener of Motihar unit BCL.

An activist of Jubo League lost his battle for life at a hospital in Chittagong city of Chittagong District, nine days after he was critically injured in a JeI-ICS cadres attack in the District’s Satkania sub-District. The deceased Abdul Jabbar (25) was a member of the sub-District’s Janar Keuchia union unit Jubo League.

Lalmonirhat District

JeI-ICS cadres and BNP men allegedly attacked AL activists, who gathered for an election campaign, in Lalmonirhat District injuring 30 people. The attackers also set fire to the stage and 40 motorcycles of the campaigners.

Satkhira District

In Satkhira District, an ASP and OC of Sadar Police Station sustained injuries when JeI-ICS cadres exploded handmade bombs and petrol bombs in a clash with the Police. The Police arrested five JeI-ICS cadres from the spot.

Meherpur District

Joint Forces of BGB, RAB and Police in a drive arrested 40 JeI-ICS cadres and BNP men at Rajanagar village in Meherpur District. Police said they fired 200 rounds of bullet as JeI-ICS cadres hurled brick chips at the law enforcers during the drive.

Police arrested three persons on charge of arson attack on the village home of Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha, a senior judge of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court, at Tilokpur village in Moulvibazar District on December 11. The arrestees are ICS cadres Masud Miah (22) and Sohel Ahmed (23), and Salik Miah (22), an activist of JCD.

Lalmonirhat District

Joint Forces arrested 22 activists of the BNP-led opposition alliance for their alleged involvement with recent sabotage and criminal acts in Patgram sub-District of Lalmonirhat District. Of the arrestees, seven belong to JeI while 10 to ICS, and the rest five to BNP.

Bogra Distrcit

Eight persons were injured when JeI-ICS cadres exploded at least six homemade bombs at the Gonojagoron Mancha in Bogra town of Bogra Distrcit. The miscreants exploded the bombs when the Gonojagoron Mancha activists were preparing to form a human chain demanding the Government cut off diplomatic ties with Pakistan.

DB of Police arrested seven people with eight kilograms of bomb-making materials at a house in Dhaka city's Khilgaon area. DB claimed that trained by a leader of ICS, the gang members carried out their subversive activities at the directives of a leader of JCD.

A cadre of JeI-ICS was killed and a pedestrian injured with bullets during a clash between JeI-ICS cadres and Joint Forces at Gobindakathi in Sadar sub-District of Satkhira District. The deceased was identified as Hafizul Islam (27). The pedestrian was identified as Haran Chandra Pal.

Police recovered 38 bombs and arrested a cadre of ICS from a house at East Monipuripara in Dhaka city. A Police team acting on a tip-off raided a house at East Monipuripara and arrested ICS cadre Saiful Islam from the fifth floor.

Police arrested an ICS leader for his alleged involvement in felling roadside trees during blockades in Kehchurigul area of Moulvibazar District. The arrestee was Kamal Ahmed (35), president of in Borolekha Sadar union.

Police arrested 14 cadres of JeI-ICS on various charges from different areas of Joypurhat District. Police said the arrestees included absconding accused, cheats, thieves, drug peddlers, accused persons of different cases and other anti-social elements.

In Dhaka city, one person was killed during clashes between the activists of BNP-led 18-party alliance and Police in Malibagh. The deceased was identified as Mansur Prodhaniya (24), president of ward no 3 unit of ICS. Seven of ICS cadres also sustained bullet injuries. Police arrested four cadres at the clash.

Sirajganj District

In Sirajganj District, the Joint Forces arrested 25 JeI-ICS cadres, including JeI Amir (Chief) Abdul Gafur and Secretary Jahurul Islam of Goyhatta union under Ullapara sub-District.

Sylhet District

In Sylhet District, the Joint Forces arrested 19 BNP and ICS cadres from different parts of the District.

Dhaka city

Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali in a briefing attended by the ambassadors, high commissioners and CDAs of UK, Sweden, Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Denmark told that a responsible Government cannot relinquish its responsibilities and allow the fundamental values of the statehood to be undermined by the indiscriminate terrorist acts perpetrated by the BNP and JeI-ICS.

Meherpur District

A ward-level JeI leader was killed in a gunfight between law enforcers and JeI-ICS cadres in Sadar sub-District of Meherpur District. The victim was identified as Abdul Jabbar. Police claimed that three members of Joint Forces had sustained injuries. The law enforcers also recovered firearms and bombs from the spot.
