Security forces (SFs) arrested three militants of Rabha Viper Army (RVA), identified as Dinesh Rabha, Prasanta Rabha and Anup Rabha, at Krishnai area in Goalpara District on June 24, reports IBMS.

Meanwhile, SFs arrested a one militant of Anti-Talks Faction group of United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA-ATF) militant at Moran area in Sivasagar District and recovered one pistol, detonators in his possession.

In addition, SFs arrested a militant belonging to Nationalist Socialist Council of Nagaland-Isak-Muivah (NSCN-IM), ‘lieutenant‘ Ajang Po, from Milubra village near Lungting in Dima Hasao District, reports Times of India. Earlier, SFs had killed four Dimasa National Revolutionary Front (DNRF) and NSCN-IM militants on the same village on June 23.

Elsewhere, the movement of ULFA-ATF militants along the Indo-Myanmar border via Tirap and Changlang Districts has come down recently, reports Assam Tribune. The news report assigns deterioration of the weather in the area and inter-factional clash between members of the (NSCN-IM) and Khaplang faction of NSCN (NSCN-K) as principal reasons for the lowering of activity in the area (Tirap and Changlang).
