Sri
Lankan authorities are to release
another 75 former Liberation Tigers
of Tamil Eelam (LTTE)
next month, who have successfully
completed their rehabilitation programme,
reports Colombo Page. The
former LTTE cadres will be handed
over to their relatives at a function
on 2nd June in Vavuniya. 
The
pro-LTTE lobby in the United Kingdom
is planning to stage protests when
President Mahindra Rajapaksa arrives
in London to participate in the
Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations,
reports The Island. Queen
Elizabeth II will celebrate 60 years
on the throne on June 5. 
Meanwhile,
Tamil National Alliance (TNA) is
yet to announce its official position
regarding its participation in the
Parliament Select Committee (PSC),
reports Daily News. TNA MP
Suresh Premachandra on May 27 said
that their party has not decided
about having talks with the Government
on participating in the PSC sessions.
