Troops
foiled
an
infiltration
bid
by
a
group
of
suspected
militants
from
across
the
border
in
Poonch District on February 7, according to Daily Excelsior.
"The
security
forces
foiled
an
attempt
made
by
the
militants
early
this
morning
to
sneak
into
the
Indian
territory
through
Tringla nallah in Balakote Sector of tehsil Mendhar in Poonch,’’ official sources
said.
They
added
that
Security
Forces
opened
fire
and
pushed
back
the
infiltrators
adding,
"the
area
has
been
cordoned
and
searches
were
intensified."
The
militants
have
repeatedly
been
trying
to
sneak
in
from
the
Line
of
Control
(LoC)
in
Mendhar sector but the alert troops have thwarted their attempts. |
