Two cadres of the KRA-U, identified as Letgoulien Chongloi alias Kenedy and Janggouthang Chongloi alias JC Michael, were executed by their own cadres, a Police officer said.

A team of Imphal East District Police conducted a search operation at New Lambulane area and arrested one cadre of Unification faction of KRA-U, identified as Nguljalen Haokip alias Len (37) along with a mobile handset.

KRA claimed its involvement hand in shooting and injuring women identified as Haijaneng Kipgen at Konghom village on June 17.

A KRA-U militant identified as Gouthang Gangte was arrested from Paona Bazar in Imphal West District by SFs. On follow up action, other two militants identified as Haominthang Kuki alias Jol and Lanminlen Gangte alias Len Gangte were arrested from Tribal Market in New Lambulane of Imphal West District Minuthong area MMTA Office in Imphal West District on the same day. On interrogation it was revealed that Gouthang Gangte along with other 2 militants had kidnapped a non-Manipuri broker Sunil from BT road fly over in Imphal West District on June 20 and demanded ransom of INR 1, 00, 00,000 from MJP Enterprise where he works.

KNA 'information and publicity secretary LH Stephen' stated that KRA, which is under SoO has opened a new 'army 'head quarters' called 'Tintong battalion' at Veitum Kholen, New Keithelmanbi in Imphal West District under command of 'sergeant major' Ronald Haokip ON October 8. He also added that the new 'army headquarters' has 11 automatic rifles.

The 'department of finance' of KRA-U denied any involvement in monetary demand and issuing threat along the National Highway from Senapati to Sapormeina. . The 'finance secretary' of the outfit, S Tommy Kuki expressed concern that there were many extortion and monetary demands in the outfits name without its knowledge.

SFs arrested two KRA militants identified as Thangeo Hangsing and Lungminthang Chongloi, from Saikul market in Senapati. One .22 pistol with six rounds of live ammunition and one syringe and 10 mg of heroin were recovered from them.

The 'chairman' of KNO/KRA-U, a SoO signatory group, identified as Paokhothang alias Thangboi Chongloi, was shot dead by unidentified militants near Khengjang cemetery under Gamnom Sapormeina Police station in Senapati District.

Police recovered a dead body of one Kamminlal Chongloi near Koubru Leikha in Senapati District. An unconfirmed source suspected that the body was that of a cadre of KRA-U.
